Hey Everyone,

Fairly new around here.

Just wondering what peoples tips for shaving were, mainly talking about facial hair, but tips for other body hair are more than welcome!

Thanks :)

Don't go super fast. Use shaving cream and make sure you have water to rinse the razor and wash your face.

Try doing it in the shower with shaving cream and a normal razor. If you wash your face in the shower, do that just before you shave, as that'll make your skin smoother. :)

Do it after you get out of the shower (at least that's what I do) and use lots of water and shaving cream, and a good razor, go slow otherwise you get razor burn, and use aftershave if u can, helps makes irritation a little better

Well I use, warm/hot water and shaving cream, I then use a fairly new razor blade then I shave against the grain (upwards) and yeah, don't know why they go down in the adverts but there we go

Put hot water on your face for a minute to soften the skin and hair then put some shave cream on, wait a minute or two then use a sharp razor going slow with the flow of the hair and rinse the blades often. I usually go over the same spot a couple of times to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Do it after a hot shower. Use plenty of shave cream and shave with the grain of the hair (it helps prevent razor burn). I like to have a washcloth handy to wipe off excess shave cream. when your done, use some after shave to prevent any irritation.

take your time and dont rush it, also make sure to stretch out the skin if youre shaving your nuts, and yeah, make sure its all warm and wet - it widens up the pores so the shaving is more efficient

Go lightly, don't press too hard with the razor. Wash your face before you start. I usually rinse my razor with water before I start, which I think is recommended, but I'm not sure if you're supposed to or not. And yes, I use a manual razor, not electric. I would recommend getting your dad to help you or maybe an older brother? I don't have a dad so he didn't help me, my mom actually helped me, which was kind of awkward, but yeah... I do it at night, too, btw...

(Speaking of shaving... I need to do that. Haven't done it in a couple days...)
