Hey so I am 18. I never had a girlfriend in highschool and therefore never had sex or any sexual favors or even my first kiss. I feel very abnormal compared to the rest of the population and it is really digging at me. Are any of you in this situation? Is this actually abnormal or is it actually better?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a virgin at 18 or 25 for that matter. You will find a girl to date sometime down the line. Your virginity is precious so don't waste it on some bimbo just to say you have had sex. You should deeply care about the person you lose your virginity to. That is my feeling about it anyway.

Hard to say what "normal" is except that it's clearly a range. it probably varies from country to country. Just from reading and talking to friends, I'd say you absolutely should NOT feel ashamed or uncomfortable about being a virgin at 18. But i bet by the time most guys get through college or grad school - say 25 or so - they will have had sex. Just wait for the right person, like everyone says.

Some people have sex when they are 12 and others when they are 20. You dont have to lose your virginity at a determined age, just wait for the right moment or/and person.
