Help please!!!

I'm new here and need some advice. There is this girl ive liked for a while, She is 17 and i'm 18. We are both homeschooled so we don't see each other every day. Four months ago I asked her out and she said no she wasn't interested in a relationship. We are still friends though, and I still like her.

However recently it seems like she might have something for me but I can't tell. Her friend asked if I liked her because i was acting like I had a huge crush on her. The girl I like was also actually talking with me and being open, which usually she really wasn't.

Now yesterday, i got a text from an unknown number (Now i am not a big texter ok) The person said he was the girl i liked boyfriend. I asked her if she recoginized the number and the name of the guy. She said oh yes thats him. I also asked her friend (This is all by text) and she said oh yes they had been dating for a month or so. Later that day the girl I liked said that it wasn't real and that it was just a text prank from one of her other friends. I havent talked with her friend about it so I don't know if all three of the girls (Including the one who texted me) were in on this together and it was infact a prank or if it was actually a guy she was dating and she was just saying that to cover up the fact and she is embarrassed. She isn't a person who usually lies so I don't think she is lying. This is just all really confusing. sorry if it doesn't make sense.

Do you think this means she actually likes me or what?

I dunno it sounds like she's nice to you but letting you be teased? She might like you buddy!! No matter what signs there are buddy, people online ain't gonna know the answerXD, if you think you have a shot then go for it and I wish you luck!!:)

to be sure, jusk ask her about it ... but not by texting.

You need to talk to her in person to sort things out and see how she feels; over text isn't gonna cut it. You can't know how she feels for sure by just texting she and her friend, and it's more likely you'll have miscommunications not being face-to-face.

I would ask her if all of this is for real or just a prank-c what
she says and then watch what happens-continue to b friends
with her cause she may like u but she may be testing u herself
if u really do like her.

Yes you definitely need to talk to her in person. Find out if she is for real or just putting on some act to see your reaction. So if you want to know for sure doing it in person is the way to go. You can ask her straight forward questions about how she feels and what her intentions are.
