So I've been putting in a lot of late nights because of school and not getting nearly enough sleep. I'm worried that it could stop the chances I have to grow taller and I'm not sure what to do. I need sleep to focus in class and do well anyways. Any advice would be appreciated.

Being tired won't stop you from growing. If you get enough sleep so you function well during the day you are fine. I go to school all day and then go right from school to work 6 more hours. When I get home I am exhausted. I still stay up until 11:30 and have to be up at 7:00 AM the next day. I do fine with that and I do believe that I am all done growing. I am satisfied with who I am and how big I am.

I don't think that sleep can stop you growing but it sure can stop you from doing well in school or at work. Just try to set a time you need to get to bed and do it and i know that it sounds easier than it is to do but that is a goal you can set.

Sleeping is a pretty important part in growing and general health overall. When you sleep is when your body releases the most growth hormone and is also when your brain goes through your day and helps to make memories. Not only would it be better to sleep more for growing, but also for keeping your grades up in school. If you want to sleep more, put the electronics away two to one hour before your bed time and read a book. Apparently the light from screens tricks your body to think it is still light out. You could also drink something warm like uncaffinated tea or warm milk. If you think a lot while trying to fall asleep, turn on a Pandora comedy station. It will help you forget about your worries and fall asleep faster, at least it does for me.

Well,if you only have few sleepless night I think you will be fine but if you do in a long term. Your body function may mess up and sleeping is important for body and brain to recover. In conclusion, at least have 8-10hrs of sleep a day and you body and growth will be fine. One or two sleepless night will not harm too much.

I think lack of sleep over a period of time can affect
the release of growth hormones cause at night that is
when most of growth takes place. Teens should get at
least 6 hours of sleep during puberty in order to function
better in school and even in sports according to my doctor
Dad. He should only know that some nights I get less than
that amount but I do well in school and I'm alert but when
I get home I feel like crawling in a hole sometime. I don't
think it stunted my growth cause I think I'm finished with
growing but cant say for sure.

BTW-Having parents that r doctors I'm living in a
health bubble and sometime it sucks.

Sleep is very important. Wont stop growth probably but can effect you mentally. Youre better off getting more sleel instead of working hard for school. Because if youre not tired youll do better work
