Now, this is NOT a survey. I just thought it would be interesting to know others' first experience of shaving (I mean the face only)
Go on, describe it for us. Age, did u get cut, razor burn, was it with your dad, anything...
I'll go first:
My first time was basically just some jaw and cheeks. After 3-4 months I did it for the second time, this time for the complete face. I didn't cut myself either time, although I did develop some nasty razor bumps after the 2nd one. It was good, and i liked my smooth face but nobody noticed at all (in my family, my friends noticed all right). Maybe because it was still fuzz?
Now. Your turn.

14 years old (when ive done it). Its was no big deal, I mean, i've done it with electric razor so i didnt had any problems at all. It was like awesome cuz that pre-beard didnt bothered me anymore lol. Now i shave twice a week.

Very easy with a manual razor, no one showed me or anything I did it at around 15 but I didn't have much

I failed terribly the first time. I only had some fuzz and decided to shave it. I didn't use shaving cream so it started burning after wards and I even put perfume in my neck which made it all an even worse experience... My dad thought me how the second time

Lol! That reminds me of an incident. Can't really be called a shave though.
I decided to imitate my dad secretly, took his Mach 3 and with no cream nothing just ran it down my face like really hard. Cut really badly and then threw an aftershave splash on like a dork. Home alone!!!:D

Hahaha yes exactly. I knew I couldn't be the only one who did that

I used a good razor and shave cream and I rarely have any trouble and didn't the first time either.

I shaved my upper lip and jaw a bit after my 13th birthday, and i got burned to all hell. I used a cheap lubed disposable, bad idea. I use a good ball one now, some Gillette thing, can't remember the model.

Ball. Do you mean the Fusion Proglide Flexball? Or if it is recent, might be the Proshield Flexball. Either way its the Flexball line.
I've bought this one recently:

I shave since around 15, and no I don't use any cream or aftershave. Just make sure your knife is sharp and clean. I self-taught it, and I don't get razor burn either (I always use Gillete, other brands gave me some lacerations, though).

I just imitated my dad. I used to watch him in the bathroom when I was real young shave. I though it was really cool. So maybe 13 or 14 I started just to mess around. It was cool, I liked the smooth feel of the shave I got. Never really had to ask for help, I had watched a lot, about how fast, how hard, what direction, how much cheap to use and why. Use very little, you can see what your doing better. Get a closer shave. It's kinda fin

First shave I ever had I was 15. Had some peach fuzz and decided to try it. Was in the bathroom with my older brother and he had me use his razor. What he forgot to tell me was to go slow. I went too fast on my uppe lip and you know how a lip bleeds....A LOT.

I was 14 when I first shaved. I shaved together with my dad, and he coached me.

Age: 15.2

If you mean face, yeah, can do it. But I think I had to much medical cannabis lol. I wanted to shave my pubes....next day I had removed them...and I'd say about 48% of the skin....it killed for months man, I mean killed. I dunno what the f--k I did. But I think I tried to remove the hairs with it. From that day, I've never left razors in the house when I get high.
(I use cannabks for medical purposes) and also like it.
