Hii guys :) I decided to post a thread here because I need help and an advice.(my English is not perfect)
So before two months my aunt invited me for first time to go to see her in Italy, where she lives with another friend/lover.There I met the son of her friend and we fell in love.We knew from the beginning that it will be hard but we decided to start a long distance relationship.Everything is fine except my parents  My parents and also aunt-they don't like him.I haven't still told them but I should do it.but how?? I am sure that my parents won't support me.My mum thinks that I am still too young about bf(I am 17een) and my dad like I said-he doesnt like him.Their problem will be that my bf is 22 and he still doesn't have a work. Also another problem is that he isn't from the boys who are with good shape and with a face of a Brat Pitt. But I do not care! They really don't understand that he is really trying to find a job and he is also trying and working out everyday just to get in form....and...and they always joke about him! ''He is fat.'' ''How he could not have a work?He is soo lazy'' I want to prove them that he is really kind and I feel soo happy to be with him.Our personalities are really close and we just feel so calm and happy. We can talk about everything and I really want to show my parents that I want to be with him and we do not care about the long distance :)

Well a long distance non physical relationship is very hard to have. You have to have trust. The best thing about your relationship is that you have actually met. Some of these long distance relationships the other person is actually fake and pretending. I can understand your parents and relatives concerns with the age difference and not working. As far as his physical appearance shame on them for putting him down. As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't know what your age of majority is in Bulgaria is but here in the USA it's 18. So maybe you can just continue your relationship until legally your parents have no more control on what you legally can do. I think if you told them that you would create a big fight and disagreement with all of them. It truly boils down to what you feels is right. What your heart tells you what you should do. I hope things work out and wish you good luck.

This I agree with too.

But the poverty no job thing IS a genuine problem your parents aren't making that up.

You gotta make sure that guy is doing everything and gaining every skill to make himself more employable.

He cannot set limits of jobs he does not want to take, if he expects to provide for you.

However to his credit, Italy's economy along with Greece's, Portuagal's, and Spain's are not thriving they way they should and they're being largely supported from Funds from the European Union, to the point it is a political controversy.

So I can't say for sure, but him having no job might not be a personal reflection of his character, but of the economic stability of his country.
