My friend said that this guy was staring at me for long so I turned around to see if it was true. And I noticed him staring at me and looking away, down on the floor when he saw that I noticed. Then my friend added that apparently he had turned around his body completely and hidden his face in his palms, with TERRIBLE embarrassment.

Why though? Meaning? Does he like me?

Sometimes people just phase out and stare at random places so he could just be in deep thought and not realise he was lookong at you but only realise what hes doing when hes caught which is embarresing af. Or he could like you and be thinking about you in a nice way and be embarresed that he got caught but most guys are subtle when they do stare so he probs just phased out. Theres really no way to know unless theres any other interaction between you two that indicates he likes you, such as making any effort to talk to you such as asking about what classes or to borrow stationary.

I say yes he likes you and was totally embarrassed when he knew that you knew he was starring at you. If you think he's cute and nice then I would go talk to him and get him out of being shy.

Yeah he always approaches me to talk to me, and he's always nice to me.

He likes you, but is a novice at how to flirt. So this is the best he can do, try to bridge the gap with him if you want to give him a chance.
