I've been really depressed lately. I haven't gotten to talk to my girlfriend in what feels like forever (and probably won't have a chance to do so for a long time) and it's killing me. She's one of the few people that I trust and who can always cheer me up. I've been trying to keep my mind off of her but it's hard. I'm losing motivation to do stuff that needs to be done, namely music practice. Music is losing its ability to cheer me up and every day is becoming a struggle to not entirely break down. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you really miss your girlfriend. Is there any possible way to stay in contact with her? I don't know exactly what happened, but it's great when someone makes you feel that way. You just have to stay strong because things will get better. You shouldn't lose motivation to do what you love. I'm sure your girlfriend wants you to be happy. She wouldn't want you to be upset, especially if she is the reason. I feel that your girlfriend is the biggest factor of your depression, even if you don't want to admit it.

That's the problem. Her dad caught us texting and thinks I'm some sort of pedophile. I've tried to contact through YouTube's message system but no luck. I can't call her house phone in case her dad answers, which would probably cause even more problems. It's complicated

I read somewhere that it is best to be happy for no reason, because if you are being happy for a reason, that reason can be taken away.

About that, how am I supposed just suddenly make myself happy for no apparent reason?

I know how sometimes it's really hard to find happynes in anything.
Maybe put your thoughts into something creative, sadness can be a great inspiration.

Patience is a virtue Andrew, eventually you and your girlfriend will cross paths again, but you still have to keep yourself in one piece and be patience. Try meditation if you want to keep your thoughts straight, or try to entertain yourself constantly as well as focusing in school. You'll get through this man.
