It's not just during pregnancy that stretch marks appear. There's a full article here (http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Stretch-marks/Pages/Introduction.aspx) but this part pretty much answers your question:

"Stretch marks are caused when the skin rapidly stretches as a result of sudden growth or weight gain. The stretching causes the middle layer of skin (dermis) to tear, allowing the deeper skin layers to show through, forming stretch marks. The dermis contains strong, inter-connected fibres that allow your skin to stretch as your body grows. However, rapid growth can cause the skin to over-stretch and break the fibres. The tears in the dermis allow the blood vessels below to show through, which is why stretch marks are often red or purple when they first appear. When the blood vessels eventually contract (get smaller), the pale-coloured fat underneath your skin will be visible, and your stretch marks will change to a silvery-white colour."

None for me. Anybody can get them if they grow a ton in a short period. I've only seen a couple boys have them ever. And they were all fat. I guess they got fat really fast lol.

If you lose a lot of weight you can get strech marks.

I definitely have stretch marks. I grew so fast during puberty that my skin could not keep up. Im 6'7" and had months were i would grow 3-6 inches.

**to all the people saying you can only get it if you are a girl** No, stretch marks are when your skin's stretches out, either gender can get it. (And to answer the question no I don't have stretch marks.)

Shoulders and arms: When I started gaining muscle mass there.

Yeah, a couple on my stomach and a couple on the inside or my upper arms. I wasn't exactly sure what they were but the doctor told me and said to put cocoa butter lotion on them, it did help, they were kinda bright pink when they first appeared but now they are hard to see unless you are looking for them. I dont really like them and would prefer not to have them but at least they faded a lot.
