Apparently the only time they can do anything is when he actually goes out and hurts someone. He has even stolen from a store & gotten caught by the police, but they still let him go.

This is basically just a 100% real story about my life with my brother.

I live with my dad & go to my mom's house every Saturday & Sunday. My brother lives with my dad. I also have a half-brother & step-dad at my mom's house. When I was 8-11 I used to annoy my older brother just like any other kid does (but not on purpose). He would always get EXTREMELY mad, and kinda over-reacted. At about the age of 12 1/2 (1 1/2 years ago) or so, I learned that he smoked weed. This didn't affect me much, but I kinda hated him. About half a year after this (when I was 13), we learned that he also used stronger drugs, I'm not sure the exact type. Another half a year after this, him and a couple of his friends go into our house when me & my dad were both gone. He tried to take a huge safe from my dad's room but all he could do is flip it over (what an idiot), & COMPLETELY ransacked his room. The only thing he took was a couple of coin collections. He tried to say he didn't do it & we got robbed but we knew it was him because a real robber would have taken the 40 inch flat screen T.V. in the living room & the Samsung Galaxy S4 sitting right on the desk, in my dad's room. About a month or 2 after that he stole my laptop & I REEEEEALLY hated him then, but there was nothing I could do. After that, he went to rehab, left, went back, got kicked out, went back, & got kicked out again, all in a matter of about 2-3 months. Somewhere in-between there he made a bong out of a soda bottle and tin foil. He tried to get me to try it, but I didn't. About a month after this we discovered that he also does meth. He's always paranoid, says he hears voices, & goes from super happy, to super sad, to super mad in a matter of seconds. [EX 1: He was listening to loud music in my dad's room & singing along, so my dad tells him to turn it around, and he doesn't. So my dad goes into his room and turns it off, & Ryan starts yelling about that, then after about 10 seconds yells about how nobody cares about him, then after another 10 seconds starts crying.] [EX 2: He told my dad that everybody at his NA meeting wanted to kill him (paranoia)] He stole my Xbox 360 about 2 weeks ago, but I have already had the new Xbox 1 for about a month or so. It still sucked though because I had a friend who was going to buy it from me for $100 once he got the money. I always have to put my laptop & Xbox in the safe whenever I go to sleep in fear of him taking it. I never talk to him, unless absolutely necessary. I stay inside my room just because he is in the house & I don't want to even be near him. My dad also hates him, he has made it VERY clear that the second he turns 18 (6 months 27 days (i'm counting)), unless he COMPLETELY changes his life around, is getting kicked out of the house. That about brings us to the current date.

I don't really know why I decided to post this, just had a thought of doing it, and well.... here I am.

Well it's a LOOOOT more complicated than that, but kinda yes. Rehab won't really help though, the only way it helps is if you actually want to quit. He has absolutely no interest in quitting. We has gone to a whole bunch of different rehab places, therapists, NA meetings, & even a couple mental hospitals.

You should talk to them, and reitterate the fact that you don't feel safe in the house with him, (I wouldn't), but it sounds like what someone else said, that he needs to either go to prison, or get the poops beat of him to straighten him out. I really don't see why authorities wouldn't take action in one way or other if they are called in. From what I see you are in California and police should do something there if called and told what's going on.

Yeah, I just wish he would be normal again. He's been such an asshole since he started doing drugs. I know there's no way it'll ever happen, but I want MY brother back, not the drug addict asshole that lives me. :(

I also forgot to mention that this one time, he tried to punch me, so I put my feet up towards him because I was sitting in beanbag-like-ish chair. So, like half a second after he does that, my dad comes in, and absolutely just RAMS him into the couch (YAY for my Former-Marine dad) [And when I say ram, I mean RAMMING with a short running start, pushing him onto the couch.] Then after some fighting, he somehow got back into his room and my dad went to his room to call the sheriff. Then I see my brother at the front door, holding a firework, trying to light it, so I try to knock it out of his hands, but he still manages to light it. He then throws it on the ground, and runs out the front door. My dad comes running in, just as the firework goes off, so it left a black ash mark on his shirt, but otherwise nothing. Then after about 3 minutes or so, he comes back, bangs on the door, we don't answer, so he throws a brick through his room's window, gets something, and leaves. Then 2 police officers show up about 10 minutes, we both give our separate stories, blah-blah-blah. But, the officer said "well, there's a slight difference in your story" or something and I was about to LOSE MY SHIIIIT!!!!!! Nobody remembers EXACTLY what happens when your dealing with a tweaked out 17 year old with a brick and a firework, WTF?!?!? Anyways, just thought I might also add that to the story, that happened about 2 months ago? I have no idea anymore. These things happen all the time, I can't keep track. That's not the first time we've had the police come out, or the second......or the third....sadly not even fourth. :(

I don't know, I haven't thought of anything. But, I do not feel that way anymore, I just said that for no reason. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm at my friends house, I brought my razor blade cause I planned on cutting and I can't be at home right now.

Well, I'm back home now. Ryan is here, I dont exactly know what happened. I'm gonna catch up on 5-6 hours of Markiplier videos because I didn't have my laptop. After that, its gonna be time to sleep. Then when I get home the next day, hopefully I don't kill anybody. Anyways, I'm gonna go do stuff for now.

Well, last night my dad let Ryan sleep inside, and also gave him his phone, but he had to leave at 4am when my dad left for work. So, at about 4:15 (not sure why he wasn't already gone), Ryan knocks on my dad's bedroom door, and asks "Where's your car?", dad went outside, and the car was gone. One thing led to another, Ryan is suspected along with his friends Andrew & Anthony of stealing the car. There was no broken glass, so someone must have had a key, the only way anybody could've gotten a key, is through Ryan. My dad and brother are currently outside talking to the police. My dad is currently short on money because of paying off the laptops, and other things. So we're FUCKED right now. So I am at an absolute loss of what to do anymore. I just wanna give up so badly.

Alright, so, my dad and brother are outside right now along with the police. Apparently Ryan threatened my dad with a knife, threatened to kill him in his sleep with it, and also threw the knife at him but missed. My dad said he's finally gonna go to jail now. This may sound horrible, but this is honestly the best thing that has ever happened. I'm gonna wait and see what happens.

Also, I found out that Ryan gave Anthony some food, and in return got some drugs, then he convinced Ryan to give him the car keys. He did, and then Anthony sold the keys to someone at these apartments nearby for more drugs. Also, the Xbox was stolen by Anthony, and the laptop was Ryan. I got this information from my friend's brother who does do some drugs, but he's actually nice and hates Ryan, Andrew, and Anthony.

Alright, my dad just came back in. Ryan is leaving and going to jail. I can finally not hide everything important, and worry about things getting stolen. :)

Ok, Ryan's court date is on Wednesday, and nobody is gonna pay bail, so he's gonna sit in jail until then. I'm hoping he they actually do something, he needs it.

There is now more to this story over on that thread. The court date is today, so I'll make sure to post updates as to what happens.

When I went out to school, my mom was in the driveway. She told me that my dads car had been found at an apartment, but not the one where Andrew lives. That's about all I know as of now, I had to leave for school.

Ryan is going to be in custody for at LEAST 3 weeks YAAAAY!!!!!!!! Also, they're gonna drug test him, and there is absolutely no way he's gonna pass, so hopefully he'll stay longer.

He needs to be cut off from the drugs in some way. That way can be putting him on house arrest and not letting him leave, sending him off to rehab, military school, etc.. The sooner he gets the drugs out of his life the sooner he will change. He also needs to be taught that taking people's things is not acceptable, and he can certainly go to jail for it. You said the cops wont do anything but you just need to push them hard enough and he can be arrested for the things he has done. Another solution is to just get a restraining order on him and/or put cameras in the house to catch him doing said illegal things. If you don't do anything like I suggested, your problem is going to get severely worse. He will begin thinking he can get away with these things and will do more and more and his addiction will become worse. I hope this helped.

It could also be that when he wrote that, or if he ever attempted to do that, he could be drugged and didn't know what he was doing. Still, it's way too creepy. I've honestly just ignored him for the past 2 years, not even talking to him. I really lost any connection I ever had to him. He doesn't even seem like a brother to me. Well, I have been really nervous, and anxious, and scared about everything until I finally cut after 9 days. So, I think it helped me, because I was really calm talking to CPS.

Update:
Well, I'm finally gonna try and get some help. I'm gonna write this out into a physical letter and leave it somewhere my dad will find.

My dad found out that I cut, I told him I would quit, but I didn't. He completely forgot about it. The yellow stick note said "Need to go somewhere, mental hospital sounds good" & "Need to figure out my own sexuality". He found it, and I just denied that it was mine. But, I think he knew, because it was OBVIOUSLY my hand writing.

Thank, but that is exactly what I don't want to happen. I'm not going to be able to form a single WORD face to face. It just doesn't work for me.
Also, school started at like 8:30, it's 9:10. I don't wanna go, because I was dropped off at my house by my step dad and if I left for school RIGHT then, I would still be late. So, I don't wanna go, because I don't wanna be late. Mainly because we have block schedule (1-3-5 ; 2-4-6) and my 2nd period math teacher is meeeeean. :(

Update: I'm gonna wait until about 10:30, then go to school. It should be 4th period by then. I'l just go into the office, get the late slip, then go to class. But, I've been late so many times like this, that the Vice Principal had to talk to me, and told me if I was late again, I would have an in-house suspension. If that happens, I'm just never going to school ever again. Then I'll have my phone and laptop taken away for a really long time. SO, if I never respond or update, you know what happened.
