Okay so I went on a summer school program in another country for the whole of July with people all over the world. When I was over there I met this amazing guy who treated me like a princess and we dated for about a week and a half but spent pretty much all day togetehr - we are from opposite sides of the world (like complete opposite) and now we are home and we did long distance for about 5 weeks before he broke it off - something that I was going to do anyway if he hadn't. Becuase it is really difficult with our opposite time zones and we are both only 16 and it's too expensive to travel to see eachother plus we have school.

But now that we've broken up I still want to stay friends becuase he is the closest I've ever been with a guy and he's one of my best friends but he won't talk to me. He keeps saying it's becuase he needs time to get over me. We were both in love, but he was more attached. But now whenever I text him about talking and staying friends he either ignores me or sends a really dry message back. He keeps claiming that we'll talk but I can't wait forever. My closest friend that I made on the program lives in the same country as him and I was going to go visit her and him at the same time next year, but now I don't know what to do. She and him were friends on the program and he texts her saying he will eventually talk to me, but he's been so rude recently and not thinking about how I'm hurting too. He is really busy at school and he competes in rowing at an international level and is always training but he won't even call me for 5 minutes.

I know it sounds odd me saying we were in love, and may be hard to understand. But what we had was so special and he made me so happy and confident and I've never been better suited to a guy.

So I really need advice as to what to say, or if I should just stay silent and how to get over him!! Please help!!

That's so sweet, I'm so happy that you found someone you loved.
Ii would say continue trying to talk to him not like every single day, maybe once or twice a week

I think you just need to leave him alone for a while. Give him time to just become your friend. If he has said that he will talk to you in a while then give him time until he is ready to talk again. You are also going to have to quit saying any romantic type things to him.

Give him time to get over it like he has asked you to do. That could be why he is ignoring you or sending rude messages; maybe he's not ready to talk to you yet as it still hurts, and he's irritated you keep reaching out. Wait and let him come to you when he's ready.

It is better to keep a distance for a while. He might be in a difficult situation now or there are chances that he wud have found someone else . Give him time, if you go behind, it will be like waste thing, why to lose your value. Things will work out in the right time. As time change, you will understand what you really had for him.
