So we had a bit of a family argument today and as it always turns out they take my sisters side and when that happens they take things that I like, like my phone etc. My sister is 2 years older than me and I try to explain to my parents what happened but they wont listen to me which ends up in another argument and I realy don't know what to do about it. This may seem stupid but I just needed to share my problem.

They probably trust her because she's older than you. That something anyone can take advantage of. I wouldn't start an additional argument as that would worsen the problem. It sucks that they take your things, and it's sort of dumb honestly.

They always ask me for "my side of the argument" but when ever I explain it they go and ask her then of course believe her so I really don't know what to do.

Your sister sounds like a bit of a nasty manipulative piece of work.
Dont worry, her day is "coming to her" Sometimes the best way is to make people feel as bad as they make you feel. If thats the only option you have left.

No it is not stupid - but can you maybe talk to one parent easier and not get to the argument stage -

stop asking/relying on things. you'll gradually become less susceptible being involved in arguments.
to me this is kind of a message for you to become more independent

Family arguments are the worst thing ever invented. I feel such bitterness, anger and sadness every time I have a confrontation with my parents. It's God-awful! In your case, it's a bit more troubled, as your sister plays a larger part in this whole affair. Perhaps laying low and if she wants to spark an argument, just ignore her. When she abuses the fact that she's older than you, you should definitely show her that you're the most mature in the household. Be patient, your time will hopefully come as well! Best of luck.
