So I've been running a lot lately and I've noticed that after my underwear really smell, especially from the penis area. I tend to wear briefs to hold everything together and I was wondering if that was the problem... Idk if I'm the only one that sweats a lot down there, or if it's my tighties any tips, advice or personal recommendations would be great! What do you guys wear especially for sports?

Its normal to get sweaty down there, wearing briefs will make it worse so use something loser like boxers or boxerbriefs.

It is quite normal to sweat like that. I don't know if looser undies is the answer cause then your junk will bounce around when you are running. If you are practicing good hygiene and washing well down there then it is just a thing we all have to live with. You could shower after a workout and have a fresh pair of underwear to put on.

My sugestion - If they are really sweaty change them if you can and wear a fresh pair every day and also clean it really well. A mesh underwear could help and I dont mean those see through ones, but like PUMP! underwear have.

You are gonna want to wear a more breathable under garment. When I play sports or run, I wear compression shorts or sliding shorts because they keep everything secure and in place as well as wick away sweat and allow everything to breathe.

Jamie_n has a good point, wearing looser undies might increase airflow down there, but then your junk is flopping all around, so it might be best to stick with what holds you together. Good hygiene is the key, shower after every work out and keep a clean pair of undies in your bag to put on after your workout and shower, thats how I do it.

Yes while the tigher the clothing, the more sweaty, they make clothing that breaths while keeping everything in place. I use compression shorts. They probably hold everything tighter than any other underwear, and most are made for sports to breath and allow you to run easily.

Yeah underarmour and Nike have good compression shorts that dry quick. But you really should just change into a clean pair after a workout. It is more hygenic. Wear loose boxers will not cause you to sweat or smell less. If anything wearing loose stuff will make your thighs rub together and then you get a rash or jock itch.

I would suggestion wearing compression shorts instead. They're really all you need and they let everything breath. Only thing is you need to wash them regularly, but they don't get nearly as sweaty as wearing underwear and shorts.

I run every day basically and what I do is usually just run in "real" running shorts and go commando. The real running shorts that college and pro runners wear are effing small lol but they do the job. They don't get in the way during a run like basketball or soccer shorts do and the wick sweat away well. The come with a built in liner that is freakin thin and you wouldn't think it would hold junk in place but surprisingly it does. And I have pretty big junk too lol. I have a different pair for every day and wash them quite a bit bc runners like any athletes do sweat a ton and whatever you wear for "underwear" it's gonna stink!!! When I do wear bigger shorts like basketball or soccer shorts I usually wear compression shorts that hold in my junk and feel good. Occasionally I wear cotton briefs or cotton boxer briefs or regular boxers but they just don't feel as good imo.

its normal, just change them instead of sitting in the to dry after (jock itch). baby powder helps or you can trim or shave your balls as hair causes/holds smell and the bacteria grows faster causing smells.

I wear boxers if I'm running (which is rare, wtf is exercise), but I don't really care if everything stays in place while running lol, its never bothered me. I only wear briefs because boxers in jeans fucking suck. Other than that, I'm usually in boxers.
