This can have different reasons.

Apart from these reasons, I tend to ask her 2 or 3 times at certain intervals. If she then still doesn't respond, I leave it to her to respond or else.


Often a girl reacts when she found out that I, eg, dated another girl or simply hung out with friends.

Then I get offended messages with questions like:

I understand your frustration but I don't think it's gender related. When I don't get a quick response from a guy, I often wonder if he's sending me a message. Usually he is just caught up in other things. Still, it can be frustrating and demoralizing.

It can take me anywhere between 0.5 seconds to 10 hours to respond to anyone.

If it takes me longer to respond, I'm busy with something. Most likely work.

If I don't respond at all, people usually assume I don't want to talk to them. Which if I didn't want to talk to them, I'd be pretty blunt about it. 95 percent of the time, I read the message when I was in the middle of something and forgot to respond after I was done. 3 percent is that you said something I didn't feel I needed to respond to.
