Hey I just have a question for other guys that have chest hair... When you started getting hair there, or it started spreading, did you also get breakouts on your chest? I started getting a little about 2 years ago in the middle, but that was about it... Then this summer it has been spreading like crazy, like at the start of summer I still looked bare when wearing tank tops and now some is peeking out the top when I wear them or a v-neck... But these pimples and stuff are getting annoying! I never even had real bad acne on my face but this is kinda irritating lol. What works good on it? Should I use the same stuff as you use for the face? Should I just shower with water on my chest and not use soap until it clears?

I'm starting to get a few hairs around my
breasts-nothing in the middle yet but I
suppose by the end of the year I will be
getting more. I'm surprised cause I don't
have much of face hair other than the upper
lip. As for acne I would continue to wash your
face-back-neck and chest with soap and water
every day-a good soap is neutrogena I have
used it and it works well for breakouts. U can
use it on ur face as well anywhere else u have
pimples.

I would use the stuff that you use on your face on your chest to see if that would clear up the problem. Anything that is used for Acne should be able to help you out. Definitely do not stop using soap in that part of the body because not washing away the bacteria will only make things worse. You might want to try different kinds of soaps or body washes especially those for sensitive skin. You might want to stay away from soaps made from detergents such as Zest. I would think anything with cocoa butter should be helpful in your situation. If things get really bad, then consult your doctor who might be able to give you something to alleviate your issue.

I have a smooth chest. I would suggest washing thoroughly with a good soap and water. Then you could use rubbing alcohol with a cotton pad to dry them out. I suppose a good zit medicine would help too. If they are too bad you could ask your doctor for a prescription for an acne antibiotic for that.

A bit.

I'm not that hairy but have some hair on my chest and I do have some zits. I think it is normal because zits are caused by hormones and they start in the hair follicles.

Perhaps you could exfoliate your chest?

Awesome, thanks guys, I am trying some astringent once a day, it does seem to be helping a little bit, along with regular soap and water... It probably isn't helping that it has been a very hot summer and of course I have been sweating a ton.

I don't think that helps either. I think I did have a few zits but they came and went fairly quickly. It does seem like there is a link between oilier skin and hair and given that hair folicles produce oil to coat the hair that's perhaps not a surprise.

I have a fair amount on my chest and abdomen. I have never gotten full on big pimples, but I have gotten the small sweat pimples during summer sports. Best thing is to use soap and wash your chest well. I usually use shampoo as it strips oils out of your hair as well as bar soap as it seems to dry out the area. When you shower, finish off with cold water as it will close the pores the warm water opened and will help keep bacteria and junk out.

I'm a hairy guy and have some hair on my chest, on my stomach, and thick pubes. I've never really had pimples on my chest, but every now and then just on my face. Like someone else said I think it just has to do with how oily or not your skin is. I think just general trying to stay clean and showering pretty quickly after you are doing something to make you get sweaty would help. Hope that helps! Us hairy guys have to stick together! Hahaha
