Yeah I just get hard and measure from the top of my penis, I hold the tape measure firm against my body but I don't push it against me because that is cheating :D

There is no "normal" size for a 19 year old. I am 19 and I am 6 inches. Every guy is different. The average for a adult male right now is like 5.1 inches.

To get a full measurement you must do flaccid and erect, you must also measure length and girth. I suggest using a tape measure that is bendable and that you can wrap around to measure girth. Start from where the shaft meets the bone, and measure to the tip, then measure the center of your shaft to get your girth. Then do the same when your penis is erect

When you're hard it may be easy to go up from the bottom base of the penis all the way to the tip, not pushing in anywhere to "stretch" the results. Soft measuring is easy as starting from the top where the penis meets your lower stomach, and going down to the tip. You can use a ruler for these, but a string May be easier. Especially with girth (wrapping it around your dick), use the string and mark of the length, then just measure the string. Pretty simple.
