Hi girls! Has anyone thought about or done laser hair removal? It seems like it ould be good to not worry about shaving and waxing anymore.

Where would or did you get it for? Armpits, pubic hair, legs?

I don't know, it seems painful and expensive. I think I'll just stick with the razor for now. ;)

I don't have that much hair yet, I shave about every fourteen days down there, and my legs and armpits are still smooth enough.

If you're someone who shaves every week, it would be far, far cheaper in the long run, and apparently it doesn't hurt at all.

I was looking into it and it can get pretty pricey. I would be willing to try it to see how it works. Parents told me to wait until I was 18.

Exactly. It will save SO much time in the long run and be cheaper even too. Plus permanent smoothness compared to razor bumps.

I would definitely consider it

Which areas would you consider it for? All?

It doesn't hurt, but it is super expensive and time consuming. A friend of mine has their own hand held laser removal thing, but it takes literally hours to do the legs, so she doesn't bother. But after a few months of regular use on her armpits, almost no hair grows there and it's really thin. So if it's a big thing for you, you could consider it - but, alas, it's not a miracle cure. The hair does 'recover' and grow back in time.

My mom agreed to pay for my underarms. I will go to get it done soon and if it goes well maybe I'll do more later.

Not something I have thought about, happy with the trusty razor for now.

My Mom had hers done a few years ago and last summer I had mine done. But you still have to go in for what my mom calls touch ups. It did sting some but you get used to it. If you have a wax job this is nothing. LOL

I would love to get it done...everywhere.

I definitely would get it done and would put the time into it, but at this point the money is too much for me to consider it as an option, besides shaving isn't too uncomfortable for me personally. If down the road I'm making a some more money that cost isn't too big of a concern I think I'd probably do it though.

What did you get done? I wax too and so far it has been easy. Only 3 sessions left
