some might, but i'm not. every boy and girl is different, and some boys might feel intimidated by it, others might be attracted to it :P

Some might be, but those might just be egotistical guys that think they're above everyone, or sexists who think that men are superior to women in all aspects, including intelligence. For example, I'm not intimidated by a smart girl at all.

Intelligence is good, in my opinion. Maybe she could make up for my shortcomings?

Depends...
Often girls deal with intelligence a different way then guys, which I find hard to explain, but I feel like they'll know you too well

I personally am intimidated by smart girls as long as they don't think they are Stephen Hawking smart.

As long as they're not arrogant, I don't think I would be intimidated by a smart girl. I know lots of them, and some are really good people.

Yeah, so long as arrogance is kept at bay, I have no problem with any high level of intelligence.

quite often guys want to feel superior, so having a girl be smarter can be intimidating.

Not at all. I seek out smart girls to talk to. I mean there was a time when I sought out not as smart girls just to hook up...but as far as relationships go I really want a smart gf

Not really, intelligence is a very good thing, I guess some guys like underestimating girls on that, hence possible intimidation.

I'd say it can be true! My boyfriend's sister is wicked smart. I must say, she intimidates me with her intelligence. It isn't that she is ignorant or arrogant or anything like that, in fact she is quite nice. It's more the feeling that she could be judging me for being wrong about something, and I feel like many guys may feel the same way. When I'm saying smart, I mean a girl who scored a 2350 on the SAT's (Out of 2400 if you don't know, average is closer to 1600) and got a full scholarship to college, so freaking smart. Pretty intimidating.

Yes.
But it has nothing to do with being smart. He will get intimidated if you start talking intellectually about things that he doesn't know about of or things that don't interest him. It's no different to how you would feel if you don't watch soccer and he keeps talking about the world cup with you.
I also notice smart people in general really like to goad people with their intelligence like a bodybuilder flexing his muscles for attention. This will intimidate people. It's ok to be smart, but just like with anything you need to be humble. Then you will not have this problem.

This second paragraph sums it up perfectly. I'm not intimidated of a smart girl, as long as she doesn't show off, which I don't like.

some are some aren't.
I know a girl who's probably got an IQ over 200. She's a genius, she's gorgeous, but she's also a huge attention sucker, so she'll try to get you to like her, and she'll be more stubborn than a rock.
So yes it can be an attractive quality, but it really depends on the rest of the person.

I personally find an intelligent girl more attractive than one that is not, i feel only insecure guys wont date someone as or of greater intelligence.

Intelligent girls have my respect definitely, by intelligent it doesn't have to be an IQ of 200 and As in all subjects, if they have common sense and respect that's intelligence to me.

some guys are especially if they have something to hide because that girl may find out.
i personally love a smart girl who is not arrogant but i don't like girls who are smart and try to hide it that is just plain wrong

I'm intimidated by just about everyone who's smart but that's just because I don't like being wrong :P
I think some are, but not all. I think it's mostly guys with big egos who are, as someone mentioned earlier.
