Hello to all reading this. I'm 16 years old and often volunteer to help 12-14 year old boys girls (sometimes younger) in basketball and swimming. Whenever I wear my swim trunks (no underwear) I bulge and they often (the boys) try to kick me there or grab me there underwater and it does hurt and feel uncomfortable. When I play basketball it's the same except they knee me and I feel uncomfortable walking in public in basketball shorts. Im 4 inches (10cm) flaccid and about 6-7 inches (17cm) erect. Although I'm rarely erect it does happen and I would just like to know what I could do to stop this. Is there some type of underwear I should wear or something? Same happens in sweatpants but they're comfortable and i don't wanna give them up.

You could wear a longer tshirt or a jacket that covers below your waste thats usually what i do. If not could try arranging it in a way it isnt bulging out so much

Compression shorts are a savior, you can even wear them under your swim trunks.

Ypu should really establish a more mature relationship with them, make sure they know its not ok to be touching u there especially hitting. Or they will grpw up thinking its ok or one day somone will hit too hard and you will end up in hospital (serious).

I think while you all have them together, like in the locker room or before you start a game, you need to straight-up tell them: "Guys, you've gotta stop hitting me in the groin. It hurts and I'm sick of limping around."

If they don't stop, try compression. It's a lifesaver.

I would recommend compression underwear. its really comfortable and streamlined.

For basketball, no idea why you aren't wearing a cup if you are taking hits all the time.

I would wear compression shorts for basketball and swimming. Problem solved.

You could try compression shorts or wear a jock strap.

For swimming unfortunately there isn't much you can do unless you want to wear underwear along with your swim shorts which would reduce the bulge but I find that uncomfortable. As for basketball definitely I would try some tighter underwear like briefs to make it less noticeable. If those don't work you might just have to tell the kids you don't find them funny and to stop right away.

Others are right. Wear a cup for basketball. We wear speedos for swimming so there is no hiding anything. Not that we really care.

I personally don't hide it and in fact don't even think about it.

I'm a guy and I have a visible bump around my crotch area, just like all other guys do. I see it as the equivalent of a woman and her breasts. There ain't much that a woman can do about her breasts sticking out, just like there isn't much that I can do about having a bulge.

It is natural, it is part of being a guy.

I get what you're saying here but some bulges are more revealing than others with everything between a general bimp, to seeing a general outline of the cock, to being able to see detail like the exact shape of the head and where the rim is which seems to me is so much detail you may as well stand there naked.

I think I'd agree it's natural and I don't think I would want to have no bulge at all - I wouldn't want people to think I was a little boy down there but that doesn't mean I want them to see every last detail.

Back to the original post it seems like the guys might be jealous and the girls curious and in each case this comes out in immature behaviour. In the circumstances I'd point out the immaturity of the behaviour and tel thme to grow up.

Try rearranging, like towards the belt of your underwear.
Sweatpants will always do this, it's the caveat of being a male :(
Basketball Shorts too.
If they kick or grab you there, do it back, or firmly tell them no.
Hope I helped man,
V

I agree but I don't want to hurt their feelings by being too serious and saying no.

You did say it was uncomfortable, though. If you don't mind being "felt up" then there is no need to do anything but if you do then you can start by just explaining that is a private area and not for them to touch and if that doesn't work you have to be more assertive. Making them feel bad about what they're doing is one technique for making it stop.

You must not start down the road of it being your fault for "tempting them" by having a bulge. That's the same road that leads to the idea that if a girl wears a short skirt it's ok to stick your hand up it as it's clearly what she is hoping for! People need to be familiar with the principle it is ok to look but you only touch when invited to.

try briefs, compression shorts or a jock. if the kids are younger than you, better off being more discrete so they don't see the full outline of your penis especially if you get an erection. also might not be the best idea to let 12 year boys touch you, could be misconstrued easily that you're taking advantage of someone younger. if you're with friends or other boys your age that's different so if you don't to hide it then it shouldn't matter. be smart and safe for your sake

I personally don't hide it and in fact don't even think about it.

if the OP was 14, yeah not as big a deal since they're all about the same age. but the age difference can be 4 years, and boys and girls that young don't need to see his erection if if he can't help getting one, or be touching it either. i remember being around 1o or 11 and we pretended to hit each other in the groin so we could get a feel of each others penis.

But you wouldn't expect a feamel school teacher to try to hide the fact she has breasts just because the students spend too much time looking at them.

Also, we've just had the olympics. Did the swimmers refrain from wearing a speedo because children might be watching?

Of course you don't expect to parade around in overtly sexual clothing in front of young children - no fishnets or tiny posing pouches - but when coaching sports wearing the usual clothing for the sport concerned is fine.

those are good points. my comment was more directed to the touching, sorry i wasn't clear. btw, i wear a speedo on the beach and don't think it's inappropriate, my friends do too, but i wouldn't allow anyone to publicly touch me.

You might wanna consider wearing trunks or something g under ur swim shorts that might help. And Mabey experiment with different kinds of underwear. Sadly this is a problem that has a different solution for everyone. But I found that these underwear "briefs" hold everything in place nicely and help keep things concealed. As for the grabbing

Somone grabbing ur junk is just messed up.

Thank you all for the responses. I have told them to watch what they're doing. It's still happens but not as severe as before. Hopefully they can make progress.

If you really want to hide your bulge you need to get some compression shorts or boxer briefs. They tend to hold things in a little bit tighter so that you don't have to worry about it showing. There really isn't anything wrong with having a bulge considering almost every guy has them lol.

Just explain to them that it hurts and that it's dangerous to be doing that! I'm sure if they understand why you said no it wouldn't really hurt their feelings

I would report this to an adult who works there to get them to establish to the children that it’s wrong to do that. If you do want to hide it you could tuck it up in your waistband or try different underwear I’ve hear boxer briefs are good to hide a bulge

You could try to wear boxer briefs that are a little bit to small so they don't let your dick hang freely and flopp around so much :)
