Crush after an year?

Hi. The last crush I had was in 10th grade on my best friend (Girl). Now this girl has moved into our town and has joined the same school as me. Seriously, the day she joined I fell for her. :D She's like the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. So almost a month passed since she joined, and 2-3 days back we were put in a common group for a project. So I started talking (it started from project work only) and I somehow felt she detests me I dunno why. I mean she kept giving curt replies, talked no further unless I asked her something and abruptly went offline as well. I just let it be. (this was happening in the class group on Whatsapp, I made a couple of jokes that had the others laughing but she didn't say ANYTHING at all!).

So yesterday night I whatsapped her regarding the project only and there was improvement. She was a bit more open. And I managed to make her laugh twice or thrice (private chat this one). She even talked about where she came from and we had short discussions on Newton and stuff. :lol: And my feelings are like just growing and growing and growing. She doesn't start a conversation, but if I start it she keeps it up for a decent while (we chatted for almost half an hour yesterday night, half of it in the project and other half other stuff).

My question (about time, right?? :P) is this:
Tuesday, we present our project then it's over. Now I really want to get to know her and not really date her or something(partly cuz I cant :( ) Just sort of be friends with her, share stuff with her, chat etc.. How do I do that AFTER the project? I mean what do I start the convo with? I mean she doesn't really seem interested in starting the conversation... I have been using the project to start it yesterday what do I do when it's over? And I also am thinking if I'm you know, being too creepy or interested for her. I don't want her to feel that. I guess I just want to be a friend, maybe more in the future?
Even talked to her in class (in our project discussion) and she was quite friendly, I even joked around with her and she did laugh :P (I'm not a joker, even if I may seem like one :P )

Tell her that you have enjoyed working on the project with her. Then tell her that you have really enjoyed getting to know her. Ask her if she would like to go out with you and hang out or go out to eat or a movie, party ect.. Then you have a start anyway.

If you really do have the guts to: I would ask her out. If she says yes, awesome she likes you at least a bit ;) If she doesn't, you've got your answer.
But before you do that, text her a few times and have a random conversation, about what she did this summer, how long she has been in that city or something, her favorite music to listen to. And after like three conversations, text her another time and ask her out. Don't be pushy though: in a way that if you feel like the conversation is getting forced after time, just say you gotta go and leave it, and text her again like a day or two after. Because forcing the convo to continue might turn her off and be generally misread. Keep us posted. :)

Hey dudes like I said, I can't ask her out. :( I live in a conservative country where you don't date till you're in college. So that's out. I do however want to be friends with her, you know, cuz she's quite interesting. And that's going well I'm really happy to say!
we were chatting again today and we found a common topic! India is a diverse land, so I and her are from the northern part (north indians) living in the southern part. And we both don't speak the language in this part, so we started discussing that and for the first time, I had a really open conversation! And now I'm able to chat quite normally with her. Score!

(I can't ask her out guys, I am content with being friends. That was my question actually maybe phrased wrongly, but she was quite uninterested, that's what I wanted to ask).
