Is one direction good

Are they actually any good (music lol) Or do people just like them for their faces? My hypothesis is that their music stinks, since the audience (predominantly single straight female teens and single homosexual male teens) only likes them for their sex appeal and the appealing lyrics. If their music were good, wouldn't they have a more diverse audience? I would just search it up on youtube first but, I've heard some bad reviews on 1Ds music, and don't want to risk ear damage. So, are they good?

Their music is horrible. The boys aren't attractive either. Although, I am very happy they got rid of The Wanted.

I'm honestly not a fan. Of their music or sex appeal.
My mom loves their music though.. and I know they were popular with the girls at my school for a bit, now...not so much.
I think they're a fad, they'll come and go, just like so many other boy bands.

If you like the whole light catchy pop scene, then yeah, they'd suit your fancy. I've never been one for heavier stuff, so I liked them. And to prove to you it isn't just because I'm a single homosexual driven by their sex appeal, I liked their music before I had even SEEM them. It was after I'd heard a little that I actually researched them a bit and seen them. But yeah, it's super light pop, if you like that sorta thing, go for it. Although, their latest album is a bit more rock-oriented. Still light, but a little more upbeat with some pretty noticeable rock-like qualities. I'd give them a go.

Its the kind of music you sing/yell along to with your friends in the car. Is it a work of art? Hardly. Do I enjoy it? Its not all terrible. Will it remind me of being a teenager when I hear it on the oldies channel in 30 years? Hell yeah. Lol.

One direction is nothing more than a product for teenage girls to drool over. I'm not going to start babbling about how old music is better like I usually would, I'm just saying that One Direction gives new music a bad name with their lack of skill and overall douchiness from what I've heard.

My mom listens to them every night! Volume all the way up. She watched one video of them on YouTube, and after that she was completely hooked on their songs.

Alright, I won't listen to one direction then. light music isn't really my thing anyway, even though their music seems to inspire intense emotions in some people :P

So many other artists to listen to now, what with the fact that nowadays any talented person can produce a decent sounding noise in hours from the comfort of their favorite spinny chair and their computer.

I don't like them, but I don't find them "bad". They make commercial music, they don't know the meaning of their lyrics, they get their songs composed, but they're not that bad, at least they can sign a bit.

I used to like One Direction...the boys are attractive and their songs are great but I think they lack something which is the reason why... for example this week, I'll listen to their new song maybe 20 times a day, but after that I've gotten sick and tired....lol. To sum it all up, I can't stay listening to their songs for that long unlike the others songs which I find interesting and can tolerate listening to them for so long without getting bored. Specifically the songs of Ed Sheeran and the covers of Sam Tsui :D
