Okay, so I came out completely as Bi a couple of months ago, I was to cowardly to say so directly to anyone so I came out all the way through facebook, I know it may or may not have been the best choice but I don't need to be told that, it's done and over. My parents were all against it, made me delete the post, so I changed it's privacy settings to only me (which would appease my parents but insure anyone tagged in it would get a chance to see) after a while they made me completely delete it :( oh well, it took a bit but it got out, I don't have to feel the weight of the secret anymore, and so far I haven't got any shit whatsoever at school about it either, guess I'm lucky there :) my parents religiously hate it but don't talk about it so that's okay. I'm not really looking for advice here, just felt like sharing an experience, but opinions would be nice

Congratulations on coming out, it doesn't matter if it was through Facebook. A come out is a come out and you should be proud :-)

I am yet to come out to anyone that I am bicurious... it truly is a burden so I can't imagine how much less of a burden it was to say it out loud even for a little while

Ouch about your parents:-( Personally I think it makes a lot of sense to come out through Facebook - you get to say what your want, get it out in your own words, and anyone replying to your post has to read your words first. But your parents sound... unsupportive. Understandable, but really, really rubbish.

I'm sort of in awe actually:-) I told my sister the other day, and even though she's super pro-gay, she actually said she was embarrassed to talk about how I'm bi and hasn't mentioned it since. I wish I'd thought of text - then we could have just pretended to suddenly be busy:-)
