It's gonna zoom by very fast, enjoy it while it last, because it'll be the shortest four years of your life.
And don't wait till your senior year to do all the college preparation crap.
Don't sign up for classes that you wouldn't want to take in one semester, because it's a possibility they would give them all to you at once. For example if your school is like mine and does four classes per semester, and you sign up for english and a math and a history and a science don't do all honors if you aren't sure that you can handle them all in one semester. I had a friend that they gave all four of those to her in one semester and she wasn't expecting them at once and it almost killed her. She pulled all-nighters all the time just to pass those classes because she wanted to be valedictorian and her and this other kid are battling for valedictorian right now.

High school partly made me fat. Haha, I started to eat a lot because of the change and put on 6 stone in the first year :| It was depressing

I think the movie, Mean Girls, is an accurate representation of high school. Have fun while it lasts because you only have four years left. Time goes by much quicker than you think. You'll probably get more freedom in high school. In my school, I don't really get any homework. Don't be scared of the upperclassmen because you're a freshman. Of course they'll tease you a bit, although I wouldn't take it personally! The classes get more difficult each year. Don't slack off freshman year because it will really affect you. You need to prepare for your sophomore and junior year, and that will be difficult if you slacked freshmen year. Colleges look at your high school years, and that includes your freshman year. Don't feel pressured to take difficult classes just because it makes you look smart. You should only take classes you feel comfortable with, but it's okay to challenge yourself! I wish you luck in high school. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

The sophomore slump is real! While it's important to stay on top of things your freshman year, everyone always slacks off sophomore year. Don't! Everyone warned my friends and I, and looking back it totally happened. All four years matter! Remember that!

Don't slack off senior year either... because if you be like oh I don't have to try and they'll have pity and pass me... you wont graduate.

As someone starting their junior year in a few months, I can report that High school really goes by fast. In my experience, it's more studying. That's the downside though. The upside is that you have much more freedom and a lot more activities to be in. My high school has close to 200 activities. My middle schools have 60.

High school is what you make of it... go in with a positive, friendly, & eager-to-learn attitude, it will be much more enjoyable. If you go in, fall into a slump, and dread it, then everyday will be terrible and high school will drag on FOREVER.
