I'm getting circumcised tomorrow and was wondering what to expect afterwards. Will it bleed a lot? I know many of you guys say not to but I have a medical reason for it so that's why.

You will be fine. I was circumcised at birth but if you look it up on YouTube and see what happens... It will probably make you feel better about it.

If you look around this site you'll find several members who were circumcised as
teens. Their posts will tell you pretty much what it's going to be like.

You will be fine. I was circumcised when I was 13 and I am very glad I had it done. The doctor knows what he is doing. Boys only get circumcised once but doctors do it all the time. I was put to sleep so all I know was what I saw when I woke up. I had a gauze bandage around my cut penis. There was maybe a little blood on the bandage but not much. When the bandage was changed, I found I had stitches which looked kind of strange. You can also expect it to be swollen. This is normal. Any time it started it hurt, I took a pain pill. If you hurt at all, tell them. They will not let you hurt if you tell them. I also remember they gave me a pill to help me relax as soon as I got there. The whole thing is really not that bad and I am very pleased not having a foreskin. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Good luck tomorrow and let us know how things go.

Hey man, I had it done last May for medical reasons as well, I made a thread about it here: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=177596
that you should read if you have the time.
First off, you'll be fine. I am sure you are quite worried as was I, but the procedure went smoothly and the pain well managed.
Depends if you're having local anesthesia or general (where they put you under). Either way there won't be any pain during the surgery. You'll have pain medicine to take, and you'll likely have stitches and a bandage. I didn't have a lot of bleeding, just some spotting on the bandage. I found not being able to jerk off to be the hardest part (unintentional pun). I had it done on a Thursday and was back at school on Monday. In 2 weeks was back to normal activity and was 99% better by 4 weeks.
You'll do fine, just try and relax and take your pain pills.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm glad to help you out.

Have had other surgery. Only bad thing are it being really sore to the touch. Not aching by itself, but really sensitive to anything bumping into it. Some itching as the skin mends and sutures dissolve can be annoying. And mostly in this case having to wait until it is healed enough to finally wank an ejaculation.

Well I'm sure you will be anesthetised, at least locally, which will prevent pain during the actual procedure. Afterwards you should expect some tenderness and possible pain in the area but I assume they will give you something for that.

They'll give you pain killer + antibiotic and make sure to take those. The first couple of days you will just want to sit around, but there should not be much bleeding. You'll be fine just take it easy and don't worry.

Well just got home and it hurts quite a bit but I took some of the pain killers and I can tell they are starting to work. It looks really weird having the glans exposed all the time, and them rubbing up on things is weird too. Maybe tomorrow might get better.

Glad it went well. If you take the pain pills on schedule should work well. It takes some getting use to, but not long. Every day will get better and better.

Expect to use the painkillers for about three days. If you have antibiotics, make sure to keep taking them since you need to maintain their levels in your bloodstream. It gets better every day so have no worries.

I got painkillers to last me for about 10 days and the doc said I should just use Tylenol after that. I gotta say though it's weird not having a foreskin.

Ethan,
Glad you circumcision went well today. You will get used to your exposed head rubbing on your underwear. For the first day or 2 take your pain pills on a timed schedule and then start taking them only when you start to hurt. My first night I woke up scared when I got an erection and it was pulling on the stitches. I was afraid the stitches would break but they never did. When I saw everything was OK, I took a pill and went back to sleep. Tomorrow you will probably still be sore and it will look bruised. That is expected and OK. Take it one day at a time and you will start to see improvement soon. Welcome to the cut world.

Thanks, I just recently had an erection it it felt like it was tugging on the stitches a little bit but otherwise it wasn't painful other than the normal full pain.

Thanks, I noticed I'm not relying on the painkillers as much. I can usually go with longer periods without taking them which is nice as I hate pills. I'm also starting to get used to the head rubbing up on things.

Good to hear things are going well. Soon you will be able to switch to regular Tylenol as you pain gets less. After a week you will get your stitches out. It will look a lot better then. Sometime it would be good to hear about the procedure. Were you put to sleep or was you awake? Did the procedure go the way you thought it would?

Well I've missed a couple of days so I'll go back in Monday, got a boatload of homework to do. Only some of my best friends know but they haven't seen it yet. Two of my friends are cut so it doesn't matter to them but my other two friends aren't cut so they're curious what it was like.

The doctor said not to for 4 weeks, I only lasted 2, although more out of boredom than out of needing to.

From what I've read, you'll be back in action in a couple of weeks or so, but things will keep
improving over a longer period of time, as much as a year.

I was three weeks but only lasted two without. Just out of curiosity, were you awake for the operation?
