Hello everyone,
Do you now any examples of internet addiction? I would be grateful if you shared some with me. :)
And maybe someone has some ideas for topic:
What influence does the internet to the young person's cultural maturity?
Thanks for your answers!

I do have one example of internet addiction.
I had a friend, a girl, who had a RS addiction and it was terrible. She cut class all the time save for very important tests and she had terrible B.O. cuz she neglected her hygiene and life (she only showered/took breaks during game down times and updates) . Eventually she got tired of RS and returned back to normal life but ti was bad while it lasted :(

i got an example, but its not internet, but computer games
there's a guy in my class, who is addicted to call of duty and games like that. he always plays them, he doesn't do his homework, he misses classes and he doesn't sleep more than 4 or 5 hours every night

I don't think I'm aware of any specific cases but I certainly think people who spend too much time on the internet can start to become too absorbed into their screens.
It's a fantastic tool educationally but needs to be used in moderation - I do know people who can hardly do anything without google...

I get on VT at around 10 in the morning.
Including a few breaks, I gt off it at around 3 at night
If that's not addiction, pray tell me what is...

I like to think of it as a healthy addiction

Is there really such thing as a "healthy addiction"?
Anyway, despite the fact that I think I spend way to much time here, and the fact that I dont feel particularly welcome'at home here, I have no intention of slowing down XD

If this is about RuneScape I'm exactly the same right now except I do go to college although I'd rather not XD the amount of time I'm there on Wednesday (3.5 hours) and Thursday (2 hours) isn't long enough to bother skipping :yawn:
