How many growth spurts have you had?

I'm curious how often growth spurts happen to other people. So far, it's only happened to me once when I was 10, and since then I've been growing very slowly.

I pretty much had a single one from around 12 until 14, and since then I've almost stopped growing. Since I'm 17 I assume it won't happen again.

I lost count tbh, I just go slightly faster phases and i don't realize it except that I get really hungry all the time (right now ahah)

I had a growth spurt when I was 12.5. It ended by the time I was 13. I've only grown 1-1.5 inches since then and im 16 now.

What are you guys classing as a growth spurt? Cos i've had times where i've grown a couple of inches in the space of 2-3 months, but I know some guys who have shot up like half a foot in the same time (or less).

Honestly i'm not sure i've had any major spurts, i've pretty much just grown pretty steadily from age 14 to now :/

There's no definitive time that they happen, just sometimes you grow faster than others. I've been growing pretty steadily for the past couple years, and recently have began to slow down. Just be patient, as you will continue to grow for a few years.

Haha! This was made me laugh out loud! ;)
It is definitely a pain, when the shoes wear out very quickly, with the toes compressed against the very edge; or when you have an inch too much extra space with the trousers legs :rolleyes:

I think that was the case with me. I was pretty constant with my growth. There wasn't too much of a major shift in my height and I never had what people called growing pains. The only people who really made remarks were relatives or friends who hadn't seen me for a while, such as with study breaks and so forth. But I certainly noticed those signs like ThomasD, where clothes rapidly became a misfit...

From the block between 5th and 6th grade (in US terms), I grew roughly 7-8 inches. At the end of 5th grade, I was 4'11. By the time winter recess in 6th grade had occurred, I was 5'6. Currently, I am in 9th grade and stand roughly at 5'10.

I had a growth spurt of 6 inches when I was 12.5 - 13. Now im 16 and maybe 1 inch taller. Yeah I think I was supposed to have more growth, but I guess something went wrong somewhere. I went on a diet and drank a lot of orange juice, that probably did it for me.
