Part of the mystery of life is wondering what motivates some people to do such things as these...

Wtf I will never understand what's going on in some people's mind.
Poor Pinky.
At least this guy got arrested and will be charged for it.

That six, he's an asshole imo. Really don't see much of a difference between this guy and a terrorist and a sex offender. They all aggress on the things everyone loves and destroyers them
Should be a really harsh law about this
I'm sorry your upset...

He was mentally ill; Willingly or unwillingly.
Willingly, he deserves a proper punishment.
Unwillingly, he deserves mental treatment.

You're actually saying his actions were justifiable because he was mentally ill. This morning a man attacked 6 people and killed 1 in London using a knife, and he was also mentally ill, do you think he doesn't deserve any punishment at all too?

Living For Love, You actually read what I said? Because there is definitely strong evidence that you did not. What was that "Proper punishment" for then? Come on do not let me think that you actually didn't see that!

But if he's mentally ill, how do you know if it was done on purpose or not?

Sorry it seems that using my own language has made lots of misunderstanding here in this site.
By Willingly being mentally ill, I simply meant idiot.
By unwillingly being mentally ill, I simply meant mentally instable.

While I find attacks on animals like this cruel and worthy of punishment, I don't really think its anywhere equal to murder or a sex offender.
I also think that whether or not the guy had mental problems, he should still face the consequences.

As far as the seriousness of the crime, no, it not. But the thought process, mantality, and what the person is doing and accomplishing, I don't think there's much difference. The goal is to harm, kill, for their own pleasure, and for shock value of others. Don't see much difference on that level imo

There is a saying about the treatment of animals that goes something like this:
"How you treat animals reflects on your true character because it shows who you actually are around the defenseless and weak"

This is a nice break from the political news threads.
He was probs just pissed off and decided to take it out on an animal. It unfortunately happens too often.

I can't understand why anyone would want to hurt an innocent animal. If this guy was with his family I would guess he did this despicable act in front of them. That is horrible too. I hope he gets more than a just fine and community service. This guy ought to do some time in jail for what he did.
