Should I get circumcised

I've been thinking about getting circumcised, my best friend did it like 3 weeks ago and he said it was up to me if I wanted to get circumcised. I really want to but idk what you guys think?

Don't get circumcised. You'll regret until your dying day. If you do you'll lose up to 90% of the feeling in your penis. The foreskin contains most of the nerves in the penis, even more than in the clitoris for women. Yes it's easier to clean, but how hard is it to wash under your foreskin every time you take a shower? Please don't do it.

Tbh, I agree with Skylark. If you look up why people are even cut, and really think about it, there's really no reason for it. The main reason so many Americans are is because waaaay back when during some war we fought, the GI's would go out and get their nuts off, but didn't have the means to clean themselves properly. So the way to solve that was to cut off their forskins. No more infections, kept the GI's in the war. And it just kept going, so now we're all cut and shit.

But if you take care of yourself, like your supposed to, there's no medical reason to do it, unless there is a medical reason to do it. And from what I understand, it's better to be uncut. Ask your friend, he's living prof who can tell you how it feels before and after. IMO, it's simply mutilation of your dick

There are pros and cons to being cut, but I would say that unless you have some medical issue that would require you to get cut, then leave things alone. It is one thing to circumcise a kid when they are a baby, but by the time you're a teen circumcising can be uncomfortable. I would say that unless you have something serious like phimosis or a really tight foreskin or retaining urine or some other medical issue, then leave things alone.

It does seem like you have a bit of a tight foreskin. What's our age? Have you started puberty recently? If you've had a tight foreskin for a while, it may be worth speaking with the doctor, who could prescribe a cream. Circumcision is an option, and not the end of the world, but if a tight one, would be VERY difficult to reverse (if possible). You have to be sure you want it.

Hey Chris, I gota give you some credit, and I might be out of line here, not sure, but I'm just guna say this

A lot of guys come on here, join, start a thread like this, and maybe never come back, reply or what ever. Maybe bounce around a bit, but tbh, it's not to often a guy joins, makes a post like this, and sticks with his thread a bit like you did here. Think that lends itself to credibility.

You give good reasons for both sides here. Like said above, I'd talk to your doc, getting cut is an option. But like anything else, it's surgery, and should be last resort. Good luck, let us know.

Honestly i would really look and see if you can resolve the pain problem with being circumcised. Im cut at birth, and my penis head is dry cracked, cant even feel it really, no pleasure on it. The most pleasure i get is on whats left of my forrskin. You may stay sensitive for a while after being cut, but once your head is constanly exposed rubbing on your underwear itll basically calous over so its not irritated and then no real feeling. Thats just my experience with my own being cut. But im in the process of restoring my foreskin so i can hopefully get some feeling back. So dont make any quick decisions, its a life long side effect if you cut it off

Because you have this problem, then I would suggest you get cut. Since your foreskin does not appear to be flexible and because you have swelling, then it is pretty clear it may have to go. Just go to a urologist (a doctor that specializes in penises) and get his/her opinion. In some cases there are prescriptions that can be used to loosen a foreskin without the need for surgery. In other cases you have can have a surgery where the foreskin is slightly cut to make it loose while in most cases it is outright removed. If you're having pain and can't enjoy masturbating and sex, then you should consider getting cut because what you describe is something that is not normal.

As someone's who was cut as a teen, if there isn't a strong medical necessity for you to do so I wouldn't recommend you do it.

I was done as a teen. If you have problems and need it then I agree it's definitely better. There are pros and cons for both. I'm not sure I would want to go through with any procedure unless it was needed, but I also know some guys really prefer it and would happily go through with the operation for their own personal reasons.
Just make sure you get all your facts and take the time to make your decision. There's no going back!

What people who object to circumcision usually say they don't like is the lack of choice. You have a choice, and you can pick yes or no as you see fit. Both choices are good; just go with whichever one you think will make you happier.

There are definitely pros and cons to getting cut, but as others have pointed out as well, I wouldn't recommend getting cut unless the foreskin is too tight or you have a medical issue regarding it.

I think you should work on stretching your foreskin slowly and gently and see how it feels after you stretch it when jerking. Man I really think you would be making a big mistake by getting circumcised. Your mom would agree because she has no idea what a foreskin is like on a guy. Just remember that too. Please try stretching first.

Unfortunately it's hard to tell until you've actually tried both, and yeah some people prefer one or the other but remember getting circumcised is mostly a one-shot decision, and it's hard to go back on it. I personally prefer being uncut because I don't see many advantages to being cut in the first place. You lose sensitivity in your foreskin which for some makes sex less enjoyable. Yes it might be easier to clean, but even when you're uncut it's not that hard to lift your foreskin up and wash once a day. Plus, it's how nature made you, so why would you change that in the first place?
