I'm in this group chat with my friends and they are all getting girlfriends left and right. Should I? I mean like, I totally can cause a couple girls told me we should hang out and they call me cute and send their flirty texts to me and all that shit but I don't know. I kinda want to but at the same time why?

If you want to have a girlfriend too, you should start with dating. This is my point of view.

If you wana sure, it can be fun, get to know someone, and learn about stuff, yourself, and others to. But do it cause you want to get to know that person better and in that way. Don't just date someone because everyone else is dating someone. That other person is a person, and has feelings. And if you don't like them in that way, they'll think you do, only to figure out later you dont, and that sucks. So yeah, do it if you like the person, not cause they like you or they think your cute. That's just gettin' on with them cause they think your cute.

I've been dating with someone and it last 2 years. I was 15. And it ends when im 17. I date him because all of my friends had a boyfriend too. At first i dont wanna, but i give it a try. It worka well in the first 8 months until all the drama, crying everynight, stay up late, etc. It doesnt feels right and i realize that im not mature enough to have a relationship. So its better to wait until you re a bit older so you know should you date or not, the negative and poative side.. because i regret every single moment with him until now. Like the beautiful teenage days is wasted when you got busy with your bf/gf and cannot enjoy it to the fullest. But its up to you tho.
Btw i'm new! Sorry for the bad english. I hope to learn and share a lot from here.

Yea I know, my standards are high enough that when/if I do get one that I won't just pretend like I like them just to fit in. I'm certainly not going to go out with a slutty girl either because then they are doing the same thing you are explaining.
