Okay I started shaving when I was 12 I think. Anyway, the first time I shaved I used a pair of tweezers to remove my light mexican mustache. It didn't take long for me to realize I would need to shave it. I started using my sister's razor blade for her legs. I would never use any cream. Ocasionally I would cut myself and stuff, but I don't really anymore. Anyway, are you supposed to use shavibg cream?? Because I never have and I think it works out fine. Also, I'm 16 and I'm still using my sister's razor blade. My parents have not purchased me a razor blade to use yet. They don't even know I'm growing facial hair. When I was 12 I was kinda embarrased that I was shaving, so I kept it a secret. And I guess I just got in that habit and have been using her blade ever since. I plan to 'come out' to them like in a couple days because i'm so tired of using her dull blade. Haha, I guess I just forgot to tell them.

They probably already know, if you've cut yourself they will be able to see the nicks I guess.

Use cream! Stops irritation and makes shaving easier and smoother. I couldn't not use it.

Man, you are 16 go to the store and buy some shaving cream or gel and a package of razors. A fresh razor and gel/cream will make shaving so much easier and comfortable.

I agree with above, take your own initiative and go and buy sone yourself. Shaving foam or whatever is definitly required!

I don't really have a full beard to shave, but I just shave by soaking my face in warm water. Works really well. I don't think either of the guys at the frat use cream either.

You definitely should use shaving cream because it acts as a lubricant between your face and the razor blade, and the shaving cream generally adds moisture and other nutrients to your face as you are shaving. Shaving cream is not that expensive, and you really should start using it so that you will not get cuts at very least.

As for razors, you should really start getting your own razors rather than using your sister's. The kind of razors your sister is using is more designed for body parts as opposed to the face. The thing is those kind of razors are not the best option for your face since they are curved differently for legs and other body parts. I am sure your sister's razors have been working out because you did not have much hair, but since you're older and will be shaving more you need a man's razor. Talk to your parents because boys eventually get hair, and they need to get with reality.

I have been shaving since I was 13. My mom gave me a razor and shave cream and told me I needed to start shaving. So I have been using a razor and shaving cream ever since.

I use a Gillette Mach 3 Sensitive Razor I think and it works just fine without shaving cream, just water, and I even shave against the grain.

I started shaving soon after I turned 13. I just use my dad's disposable razors, but with a shit-ton of shaving cream. I feel like the better razor you have, the less cream you can use. That's imo though.

Yes use shaving crème or else u r going to
b a bloody mess and don't b shy explain to ur
Mom or Dad that u need razors also-don't use
ur sisters over and over. When I was 13 I was
using my Dads razor to shave my upper lip with
out crème cause I was self conscious but it was
more a prob when I had red marks above my
lip when I went to school. Talk with ur Dad.

Shaving cream is a necessity, especially once you start getting full facial hair. The few times I have shaved without it have been, uncomfortable to say the least. I shave against the grain, so shaving cream is a necessity.

Why is there a issue with your age and shaving shit?
I mean I'm younger, i just said I need some stuff and I got it
It's not a secret tbh, so.....if they can't get it for you just go get yourself and take care of yourself man, you'll look and feel better

I just can repeat what's already been said go and get yourself a decent razor and some shaving cream. It's not that it is so expensive you need your family to pay for it.
As you said you are already 16 I'm sure your parents figured out that you are shaving...so no need for a big announcement here just get your shaving stuff and you'll be fine.

You should use shaving cream, otherwise it can create irritation. Just ask for a razor from your parents, and just talk to them. It's not like it's anything weird. Just do it :)

I mostly just do it in the shower and use the water as a substitute
