Im getting to the time now where i need to start to shave, Im just wondering how you guys went about it in regards to parents? What age did you start? And did you even tell them, or just buy the stuff yourself? I think I need to shave, but dunno how to go about it.

I remember one time when I was a tot I played "big boy" with my dad's razor and slit the side of my nose. That was the closes i have ever come to shaving and probably will be for the next while...
But in all honesty, I don't see how any normal parent would have any hangups about supplying their son with shaving equipment. I mean, they are most likely aware that people tend to grow up as time passes...

Basically my dad helped me (after being nagged at by my mum) when I needed a shave for the first time!

My dad wasn't around to teach me unfortunately. My mom bought me an electric razor to start with so I don't cut myself and it works great. I pretty much just taught myself from there. If your embarrassed then don't be, every single guy has to shave eventually, including your father so he will know what to do.

I diddnt have my dad there either... when I lived with my mom I stole her new razors until she found them in my bathroom then she started buying me my own... now I live with my grandparents and when I need something like that I just put it in the buggy...

Its weird how most of our dad's weren't there to actually teach us. I started maybe around 15 years old, but I hardly ever have to shave. I tend to grow slow and not a lot.

I started at 16. You should tell your dad and ask him for advice.

I went to a grocery store when I was like 12 and bought shaving cream and a razor and then went home and cut my face. I then got my dad to teach me.

My dad was around, i just hate him, so i taught myself too. I bought my own razor, and somehow get away every time without cutting myself with no shaving cream just using water. Btw, manual razors are what i use and get a closer shave, but i hear electric ones are like impossible to cut yourself with.

When I was 13/14 my mom said something about it and I told her i didn't know how to so she kinda did it for me the first time and then after I learned how to do it. I just ask my mom to get me razors whenever she goes to the store. It's a normal thing to shave, so just tell your parent(s) that you want to start shaving and ask them to get you a razor.

I was 15 I think, I didn't want to go to them, so I bought the stuff myself

Because of my dyspraxia (bad motor skills) I might need someone to shave my face so I dont nick myself to death. So will probably let them decide when it starts getting too hairy. personally id rather just grow a beard. One older autistic kid i went to school with, they would let his curly hair and beard grow out to a certain length and then give him a buzz cut and a shave. Always reminded me of a sheep getting sheered.

I'm 14 and right now I only need to shave my upper lip. I haven't really talked to my parents about it yet, so I just use my dads razor.

I started shaving last year. I was embarrassed like your to go to my parents so I kind of started doing it secretly. then they figured it out and were a bit shocked (they thought I was too young) but were cool with it.

My parents noticed it before I did and they started bugging me about it before I caved in on the day before school.
