View Full Version : Do girls are biologically programmed to think about sex less?

Online research says most men under age 60 think about sex at least once a day, compared with only a quarter of women. Men fantasize about sex nearly twice as often as women do, and their fantasies are much more varied. They also think more about casual sex than women do. But thinking is not the same as doing. Women's sex drive is more cyclical. Many women get very horny during certain weeks of the month, and much less often during others.
Girls say that they think about sex probably 2 or 3 times in a month or 3 or 4 times in a week. But generally "sexual thought" come into guys mind very often unconsciously and it's not a conscious decision. What about girls? Do they think about sex consciously only 2 or 3 times a month? Do they biologically programmed to think about sex less?
Girls, what do you mean by "think about sex"? How many time this heinous think hit on your mind in a day/month? Do sexual think hit on your mind everyday or occasionally?

I think it is not so much that girls think about sex more or less than boys but how interested they are in sex varies according to their cycle whereas boys don't have a monthly cycle and so have a more consistent interest.
Specifically, from my limited experience, girls can be really horny on the run up to ovulation and then after ovulation be not very horny at all.

I agree, also guys may tend to voice their opinions or make it more obbious where as girls dont talk about it even though the ammount of thoughts may be the same.

I don't think there's any difference between guys and girls.

"online research" - yeah right. most women lie in these sexual surveys because thinking about sex, or masturbating is "dirty"

In my experience it is common for interest to be more varied throughout the month for girls, but overall I think the difference is far smaller than most research would usggest or most people's perception.

Yes women dont have the sexual drive that men do. Hence why many women do not masturbate very often. This is true. Women may not have cravings for sex all the time like men do, but women are always looking for love from what I know. ;)

Trust me, we think about sex just as much as you boys do, but we don't necessarily talk about it that much. ;)

I think they either think about it a lot too but just don't tell. It might depend at the time of the month, for example a female gets mostly active at a certain time which may affect this topic.

For some girls (myself included) it might vary depending on the time of month, but otherwise I'd say it's pretty close.

Actually, we are from Venus, since that is the planetary name assigned to the mythological Roman goddess of beauty. Get your facts straight will ya!! ;)

It may vary relative to a girl's cycle, but I'm guessing it's the same as guys overall.

I agree with what most others are saying. I think girls are just as interested and think about it just as much as boys.

I wouldnt say girls are biologically programmed to think about sex less, its a question of moral and societys standards. A guy who has lots of sex is cool, a girl who has lots of sex is a slut.... well, i dont mind being a slut and im thinking about sex all the time ;-)

We are not biologically programmed to think about sex less, but we are socially conditioned to think that it's wrong or "dirty" for girls to think about sex. We're taught that "proper ladies" or "good girls" don't think or talk about such things. It's just like the whole virginity double standard; boys losing their virginity as a right of passage and are encouraged to brag about it, girls who lose their virginity are often viewed as "loose", "easy" sluts who put out. It's all bullshit.
I think about sex frequently every day. And when I say think about sex I mean everything from checking out the butt of the boy or girl bending over to pick up their pencil to full on detailed minute by minute replay of my last sexual encounter in my head

Girls think about sex just as often as guys do, but only when it comes to the right guy, in which case, they think about it more.
Here's an analogy for you, and yes I've heard this one before. Men thinking about sex is like a simple land mine. Easy to set off and, once it does go off, doesn't produce that big an explosion.
But a girl thinking about sex is like an atomic bomb. It requires a whole bunch of codes and settings and stuff to get it to go off. But once the right specific code is entered. KA BOOM!!
Get it?

Dude, guys are just super open about it physically and socially. Physically, blood rushes to your crotch, and- you know what I mean. Socially, a big part of straight male culture is sex. It's a common topic in conversations, there are many products you can buy in any superstore, and so on. Girls for the most part are more reserved about it. They're mysterious on purpose. if you get a girlfriend, odds are she will open right up. It's a common thing for the girl to have a higher sex drive than the guy in a relationship.

I agree with Rob, guys are just more publicly open about sex. Girls just tend to hold their desires to themselves but behind closed doors ------ watch out !!

I believe most surveys can't be trusted, as people are printed to lie in them.
