Hi. I've got bacne and acne on my chest which means that I get spots on my back, chest, shoulders, neck and top of arms. I seriously hate it and it really takes away from my self esteem to the point where I don't want to wear tank tops and v necks because of it. Does anyone else have this? And does anyone know how I can stop the spots?
Thanks

Unlike your face, it's a lot harder to treat bacne because its hard to get creams and whatever on it, id suggest going to your doctor as there are drugs you can get like Doxycycline and Isotrane that treat acne (and do a good job of it). Doxy is a lot more mild and has barely any side effects whereas isotrane has more. Id suggest doing your research and depending where you live (i know here we have free healthcare so its cheap as) it could be an option for you.

If you are washing regularly then there is not much more you can do unless you want medicine like Benzoyl peroxide buddy! I'd leave it buddy and it should go down soon:)

I agree with this option. I think it is the best thing to do.

Benzoyl peroxide
Yaaas can I just say to everyone if you do buy a topical lotion or face wash for acne make sure it has either Benzoyl peroxide(2.5% recommended) like mentioned above OR salicylic acid (5% recommended). But like every acne treatment they all dry out the skin somewhat and some people with sensitive skin don't agree with them (mostly females).

The OP needs to see a doctor before she takes any medicine for it. For example, did you know that Benzoyl Peroxide is a free radical generating compound? I don't know what causes it or whether it is just the standard homolytic fission caused by the photoelectric effect. That's why we shouldn't recommend drugs, because we don't know. But doctors do.

The creams + face wash I was talking about are over the counter, but yes the pills I said before are prescription only.

Im 16 and have rarely had acne. I went through puberty so quickly lol. I started to get a tiny bit when I was 14, and ever since then I would get an ocasional pimple or whatever. Actually I do get some tiny bumps right below my hairline that are constantly there so I guess thats something. Funny story though, last week I didn't shower for 5 days and I ended up getting 3 huge pimples in various places. My pimples hurt so much when I get them. But yeah never had bacne, never really had any noticable acne or anything. I almost feel like im missing out on that classic teenage acne face LOL. Ah well, I have friends that have horrible looking faces I feel so bad. One took a perscription from his doctor and his acne has improved extremely. But Im always up for natural alternatives than medications and stuff, do u use facewash? U should :p

I am in the same situation as you and I've been that way since I was 13. My acne has eased a lot since I began using a mix of Bioré and Mary Kay acne care products, mostly benzyl peroxide and salycic acid I think. :)
