It's because guys can be really horny before they cum and then once they cum they're suddenly not horny any more. Gradually their horniness returns. This period of not being horny is called the refractory period and mostly occurs because the hormone oxytocin is released (inside the body) during orgasm.

Although we more often than not cum simply for pleasure the biological purpose is obviously for the guy to get sperm into the girl for breeding so once he's shot his load there is no biological purpose in having another orgasm until he has had time to reload.

Well, Hannah you see as someone explained about the refractory period, you feel like tasting it but it goes away after ejaculation. But when I was 13, I was like if girls can do it so can I! :P So I ate it, first couple of times it was okay, neither good nor bad. Third time it was quite thick and got stuck somewhere in my throat, (sticky feeling) so I stopped since. It does make cleaning up easy though. :lol:
