Maybe I'm going crazy, I just wanted to kill myself when I realized I had a crush on my brother.

My brother is 22 and I'm 16. We had been absolutely normal until about two weeks ago, my friend Lydia came over and said that she thought my older brother was extremely cute, I was like 'what ? he's nowhere near cute !'. I honestly hadn't found him cute. That night, he fell asleep on the couch while watching TV, and I decided to take a close look at him and I couldn't help but admit that he was kinda handsome when he was sleeping. I don't know how long I was staring at him then he suddenly stirred and mumbled 'hey sis, u like what u see ?' I know he was joking, he's always playful, but I was so embarrassed that I had an awful red face so I had to run as fast as I could to my bedroom.
Ever since that night, I started to find him extremely attractive. I felt my heart beats faster every time he talks to me.
I think I have a crush on him, and too bad he's my brother and that hurts me a lot.
I've tried to think about other boys in school but I still can't get rid of my crazy feeling. Help me ! Do I need to hit my head to forget my brother ?

Srsly tho this is normal, it's called being Egyptian (the Egyptian pharaohs married and slept wid their brothers, it's just our modern-day civilization that made it messed up). If however you really can't stand to be Egyptian try focusing on ur brother's bad hygiene, B.o. (you girls are always saying guys smell bad) or other things you don't like about him and it should go away. And if not it'll probably go away on its own like the other girls have said

This probably has a lot to do with the age difference. If you think about it your brother is actually a full grown man and if you compare him to guys around your age he would probably be hotter/more physically developed. As for the attraction, I wouldn't put any weight behind it and it'll just probably just go away. I have noticed though as much as people hate to admit it that they end up dating people like their dad or their older brother most of the time lol I'm sure you'll end up dating a guy that kinda acts like your brother...just not your actual brother lmao
