Im 18, and Im moved out. Last month, I felt something on my back that was sore, and assumed I bumped my shoulder. A month goes by, its still there. Me, not being too worried, leaves it, until it swells. I quickly go in, and the doctor I seen sorta went pale and said to me, "This looks like a tumor. And considering where it is, it may even be Spinal Cancer." they took the test, and we are waiting to see. How do I tell them? How do I tell my friends? The girl I just started seeing? My boss? Like.. -sighs- I "love" life sometimes..

They have not confirmed that it is cancer yet have they? It may be some other type tumor. I feel for you and either way I hope that you will be alright with treatment and surgery

Thanks man. They havent confirmed it yet, but the Docs face said it all. I could feel him massage around it, and when I looked back he looked pretty pale considering and he looked disappointed. Then he said that it was more than likely a tumor, and since it rested just above my spinal chord, it was probably spinal cancer. And Ive been diagnosed with Scoliosis and multiple back problems, so it wouldnt surprise me, to be honest.

There are 100 other things it could be besides cancer, I would find out for sure first.

Well I hope it's not cancer Shane. But if it is hopefully surgery and chemo and radiation therapy will knock it out. Good luck Shane you have my thoughts and I will include you in my prayers also.

Well could be just a cyst, boil, a really bad infected ingrown hair
But tbh, I'm kind surprised the dr said that to you. They isually just kinda don't say shot till the tests come in. But never know I guess....
I'll bet your fine, the shock look was probably cause they didn't expect to see what they did is all

I'm sure they would understand and would be there for you. Just be like hey I went to the doctors and blady blah tell them the story and tell them you would like help and support and encouragment and would appreciate their role in this process
