Mom is drunk (again)

So, most of my childhood after my mom got away from my dad she drinks. And it's not all day or anything. It's more when she gets home and doesn't have to drive anywhere. But she doesn't get like a beer or two, she gets pretty drunk, almost every night. She's not endangering me or anyone else (because she never drives after she starts drinking) but I was wondering if this is just a "my family" thing.

No it's not. It's a family thing cause the it affects the family. But not just your family.
I'm sorry your home is like that, I can relate, my dad was a pretty bad alcoholic. It wasn't fun seeing him drunk all the time either

Alateen. She's an alcoholic and she will deny it. She may not even know it.

No alcohol abuse or alcoholism affects the whole family and friends. Does your mom seem depressed or bummed out a lot? Maybe she thinks she is just doing it to relax. I think that you should really talk to her about it and tell her that you are worried about her.
