I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a band/artist's music and then proceeded to hate them. There are bands that I once enjoyed but not anymore, but I don't hate them and if someone had them playing on the radio or something I wouldn't object. Except Slipknot, but I only liked them when I was about 8 years old.

I wouldn't say I hate any of the music I Used to love and don't listen to anymore. I have just found music I find better for me to listen to. I used to listen to a lot of Keane and The Darkness and my family even went to 2 of each of their concerts. On a slightly unrelated note I think at one of these concerts my fear of crowds got the better of me. Me, mum, dad and my highly annoying brother had tickets to stand at the front of the concert hall right by the stage and I got scared because 1. I had to stay stood up and 2. I was surrounded by other people. I actually started crying because of it so my mum had to take me away and we sat on the floor to the side until the concert was over because of this :|

I also have bands I go "on/off" with. I go through times of listening to them, then I don't for a while and I keep going again XD

Oh, like specific names? This will be embarrassing. Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance, Muse (actually I can still stand them but they're shit now) Actually, I didn't like artists as a kid as much as I liked songs. I'm looking through my "Purchased" on iTunes and most of my regretful purchases were all single songs. Pretty much all the artists I listened to, I either still love or I'm on good terms with now. After age thirteen. Never before then.

I used to be really into KoRn and Linkin Park when I was younger. Before them, the only music I'd heard in the house was Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, and other music that I just couldn't stand. So when I heard these two, I thought it was awesome. Now, though, their lyrics are just... dumb, in some cases. I realize that, while the music was good, the meanings and intentions behind a lot of the songs were either just fake or petty. There are still a couple songs that I still really like from them, though.

Lacuna Coil i liked in grade 10 then i realised their lyrics arnt really very strong. they dont suck, they are all great musicians, i just like good lyrics.
when i was younger i listened to top 40 stuff. i hate most of that now. some of it is tolerable like Lorde and and Adele but the rest (eg. britney spears, Kesha , Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus .etc) are not what id call good music. ;)
BTW Maroon5 used to be okay in like 2004, but now their music has turned shit. very disappointing. so i hate them now too.

To an extent Linkin Park. I hate how they have put that electronic shit in their music. It sounds awful. A few of their newer songs are alright though ( like the one in my username :D ).

Also, as mentioned, Green Day's newer music is horrible. They just plain fucking suck now. They need to go back to the punk rock style that made them famous.

I don't necessarily hate them, but I don't really like them anymore either. All for the same reason - the music is decent, but to be brutally honest....the vocals/singing is mediocre at best. I know a lot of people like them...but Brian Johnson, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Axl Rose are not good singers. I guess that's just my opinion, though. :lol:

I used to love musicians like Sara Bareilles, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, and Colbie Calliat. But as I matured and found my identity I'm into totally different genres of music. I love Crown the Empire, Sleeping with Sirens, Relient K, LIGHTS, Panic! At the Disco, Paramore, and Owl City. I really hate Taylor Swift now and I have zero respect for her as she has no poise.
