I am messaging this girl quite regularly like nearly every night, and I see her at school. We both see each other as pretty good friends, but I think I love her, and I want to try to ask her out, but without losing our friendship. Any advice? I just really enjoy spending time with her, and she always makes me smile. Also, before I ask her out, how can I tell if she's attracted to me? This will be my first girlfriend if she does go out with me. I'm 14, and it seems like everyone else already has had a gf. Is it odd for this to (possibly) be my first?
Thanks for reading, any help is greatly appreciated. Henry

There is no real way of knowing if she likes you back without asking her out!:) She could be really friendly and flirty and sees you as a best friend but not a bf!

Hi there, like the flapjack has said above, the only real way to know if she likes you back is for you to ask her. If you both get on well already there should be nothing to be worried about at all. If you're nervous, take some deep breaths and perhaps bring it up rather casually to begin with. About your other point, in my opinion 14 is a little too early to be having boyfriends/girlfriends,so no I don't think that it's odd that she might be first.

I was best friends with a girl for over a year, i realized that i really liked her and when i got fb, i asked her out over that (cowardly but fuck it) she said yes, after 1 year of being best friends 4 weeks of dating 1 of which she cheated on me, it fell apart crippling me as both my first proper girlfriend, kiss and love. I started cutting, attempted suicide majorly 3 times, planned it about 20 and after 3-5 months im over it, she lead me along after thinking we would get back together, and she admitted to having a crush on me first, thats when i asked her out, so even a girl that liked me (or claimed to) didnt last even after a year, If you really like her man go for it! if it goes wrong its her loss, but chances are i just fuck everything up

Since finding dory is yet to come out in the UK, I might ask is she's exited for it, and if she's gonna see it, then I can ask of she wants to go with me. Btw she is a very laid back, sweet, kind, caring studious girl, so if we did go out, I doubt she'd cheat on me anyway. Thanks for the help
