I'm 16, and my boyfriend is 17. We're both virgins. Before we were together, we'd never kissed anyone, had vaginal sex, oral sex, anal sex etc.

Now that we're together, we've kissed each other and french-kissed once. I've also tasted his semen before. But we've never actually had any type of sex yet.

If you haven't had intercourse, you can't have an STD. Besides herpes, of course, but you can tell if you have them.

That being said, once you become sexually active you should get tested every once in a while

Actually this is incorrect most STIs can be transmitted with birth including chlamydia, hep a b and c, gonorhea, hiv and many others. To be fair though the likley hood of it flairing up is low and if it hasnt flaired up it often isnt contagious. Herpes is found in 70% of people so dont worry about that because its normal.

To add to what has been corrected, hep c for example can be transmitted via any bodily fluid that may have come in contact with blood. So even kissing poses that risk. This is why cops will put masks on prisoners who try to spit at them. HPV also hasn't been mentioned, although you may be vaccinated against it, he might not be.

In terms of yourself and your boyfriend, why the sudden suspicion? It's extremely unlikely from what you've said, all depends on how much you trust his past, or/and his parents pasts.

Almost this. But, even if the STD hasn't "flared up" on someone does not make it not contagious.

Yeah thats why i said "often" things like hep abc and hiv are all passed through blood and semen.

Why the sudden worry about having an STD? Do you have any signs that could potentially indicate one? If not, then you really don't have any reason to worry. The chances of having an STD, like syphillis for example, is about 1/1800. I imagine others will have similar odds. So the best thing to do is relax about the situation and practice safe sex, if, you know, the situation ever presents itself.

However, if you do show any potential signs of having an STD, it is best to get both of you guys checked out by a doctor ASAP. Of course, this is unnecessary if there aren't any indicators. And again, if there aren't any indicators, then it is very unlikely that either of you have transmitted one.

chances are that you do not have an std, especially if you are both actual virgins, but there is never any harm in getting tested - maybe something you can do together just to ensure.

If there is some visual sign it may even be something natural not an std, but yeah you probably don't.

It's called SEXUALLY transmitted diseases, so unless you had unprotected sex then you shouldn't sweat it.

Since you both and virgins and never had sex, I highly doubt you have an sti

I would seriously doubt it unless like one said you got it from your mother at birth. Unlikely.

no, not if you've never had sex.

You can have a STD if either of your mothers has one as they can be transmitted from mother to child during child birth

Saying that you have tasted is semen before, you could have an STD, if his semen carries it. If it doesn't then you don't have an STD. Seeing that both of you are virgins, meaning you have not had Vaginal sex, Oral sex or Butt sex. You two most likely don't have an STD, but if your mother had an STD, or his mother had an STD before birth, it could be transmitted through child birth. In my opinion, you don't have an STD, but there is a slight chance you might.

If you are concerned about it to the point you are obsessing, then go to a public health clinic for a test. In the future know who you are with and practice safe sex. If in doubt use protection or stick with the hand.

What makes you think you have any STD's??? Do you have any symptoms, signs, irritations anywhere? If not then no you don't have any especially if yall are each other's first! SO keep all you don't. lmao

HPV can be transmitted via any body fluids, guys can carry it and never know since there is no test for guys. A friend of mine got it who is a virgin through a blood transfusion. But considering that neither of your two have done anything with anyone else, no you can't get it.

You most likely do not, are you showing symptoms?

You probably don't if you haven't had sex or he hasn't had sex. Unless he's lied about sex, then you should be fine.
