Today I went to an appointment for my tight foreskin and I saw a female nurse as the doctor was not available. She examined me and said there is no infection or anything else so she asked another doctor for a second opinion and he said it is very common and they don't want to do anything about it as it is only a cometic problem. I really want it fixed tho and they won't help or prescribe something. Anything I can do?

'nuther doctor. Ask your family doctor for a specialist.

I went for a physical when I was 12 and the doctor mentioned that my foreskin was tight (saying this to my mom, with my little bro in the room as well - thanks for that). The doc said it really should be retractable by 15 and if it was not there would be some other 'suggestions'. All I can say is if you are 15 or older perhaps someone should get serious about helping things along. (In my case I became retractable by 14 b4 the 'deadline').

Didn't the doctor recommend any exercise you could do that would loosen up your for skin?
I know the more you retract it, little each time, it'll eventually stretch out some. Maybe try that a bit

You shouldn't really ask teenagers about this kinda stuff since some might give you a wrong idea where you'd harm yourself. Try contacting a certified person who has experience in this field.

That's probably the best advise I've heard from you....very good advise....

True. I don't know of any 13 year old doctors!

But to the guy that wrote this, I guess it depends on what you mean by tight. Mine isn't real loose right now and the doctor did the whole check when I had my physical thing and didn't say anything about it.

It has too be pretty much unretractable soft for dr's here to do anything about it.
I had it done when I was 13 and it wasn't easy to get them to do it.
Most dr's see it as unnecessary unless you can't wash or piss easily

Circumcision is an option but you will lose some sensitivity.

Leemac1999, as you're in the UK I thought I'd look this up on the NHS choices website where I found an article about phimosis (tight foreskin) (http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/phimosis/Pages/Introduction.aspx) which would be worth a read and which is completely consistent with the view expressed by your doctor, i.e. that unless it is causing a practical problem there is no need to treat.

It does seem to the UK NHS is more reluctant to treat that doctors in other places but all medical treatment has to be assessed according to benefit, risk and cost. If benefit is low and either risk or cost are high by comparison then treatment isn't offered.

For what it is worth I have seen a guy in a porn movie whose foreskin didn't retact further than just exposing a small ring around the hole in the end of the head, i.e. only a very small bit of head was exposed, and he was able to cum just fine and seemed to enjoy every bit as much as anyone else.

You mentioned prescription and the NHS article itself mentions topical steroid cream. 1% hydrocortisone cream is available over the counter at pharmacies if you want to have a go with that and, of course, stretching exercises are free.

Well, I am uncircumsised so I might have a say..

DO NOT try and apply undue stretching and tugging on the foreskin.

What I see people do most of the times is try and pull the tip gently downwards while taking a nice warm shower. Just for a minute or two. After a couple of weeks i think results will show. But be as gentle as possible! Also show a family docter but do not get circumsised in my opinion.

You could ask them to give you a cream that might help, I'd tried one of those for a while even though it didn't help me a lot. Is it only tight when it's hard?

You can Google about foreskin stretching and you will get a lot of info on what to do and try. If that is unsuccessful then I would see an other doctor. Maybe like a urologist or special doctor.

If it is just cosmetic buddy I would leave it alone.
