I met up in a group of people on Valentines day and this girl kept on standing close to me and brushing up near me. She stood next to me for a while throughout the day. At the end of the day, I told her I had something to give her but forgot about it. As it was valentines day I thought I should tell her what it was already. So I asked her if she liked the movie in which a character from it was on the thing I wanted to give her. She said yes. I then told her exactly what I was going to give her and saying what character was on it and she gave a slight giggle. I told her I will give it to her the next time I will see her and she smiled saying you don't have to give it. I told her I will still give it and she smiled shyly.
Before meeting up with her she sent me a text message and didn't send it to any of the other guys who were there also.
So what does it mean when a girl does these things…

I saw her again and tried giving the gift to her. She said no I should keep it but was smiling and blushing when I was giving it to her. At one point she grabbed it, looked at it carefully and started giggling but still told me to keep it… If she likes me, why didn't she take it. On the same day I was trying to give the gift to her, I noticed she was almost copying my body language.
Also when I say she brushed up against me, she didn't brush against me… She stood so close to me that she was at touching distance.
When I told her I had a gift to give her but left it at home, she had a shocked/surprised look on her face but tried to not express it.

I think that she was shy or just felt wrong taking it from you.

Just because you get someone a gift, doesn't mean they're always going to accept it. A lot of people will refuse because:
1. That costed money which generally people feel guilty about.
2. They don't actually know you all that well and regardless of liking someone, find it weird to receive a gift.
3. Some people just don't accept gifts.

So your all saying that even though she didn't accept the gift, she still likes me…
That… I don't understand...

Your the same guy who sent me a question about something similar.
Like I said before, you read into social situations way too much and you need to stop or it will make you crazy. You focus on tiny variables that are just impossible to decipher because of their benignness and don't focus on things that are in your control like asking her out or meeting more girls.
This kind of mental climate you have is going to make it impossible for you.
