Sharing Panties: Perfectly Fine or Extremely Unhygienic?

Now I know this is a weird question to ask, but I was surfing the net on one of my favorite forums and this very question popped up and overall the general consensus on this was: absolutely not. The people on the forum said it was gross and unhygienic BUT a large number of them made an exception for family members and an even larger amount said that they'd only do it under dire circumstances.

I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the girls&boys section, I apologize mods. Fix it for me if this is in the wrong place, but this isn't...even really that much a poll. I just want to compare viewpoints in two different forums that I like very much. Thank you for understanding.

Me? I...can see how some would say that it would be gross/unhygienic BUT I do agree with both the people who said they'd only consider it with family members and it'd have to be in emergencies. And I'd probably let them keep it. How do you all feel? I'll put a little poll up just because, but I have a feeling that it isn't gonna get much use.

My sister and I are just about the same size so sometimes if we get them out of the laundry we don't know whose is whose, so yeah I guess we share. It's kind of weird, especially with anyone else but a partner, but I've always grown up sharing everything with her. She's only 16 months younger than me, and we've always had the same room and often shared clothes.

I wouldn't say it's perfectly fine, but I wouldn't say it's unhygienic or a problem either. Depends on the scenario and circumstances.

i can't imagine a situation where i'd need to borrow panties from a friend or loan them to a friend.....that said, if they were fresh out of the laundry i guess i'd be ok with it, but it would deff be kinda strange .....

I'm somewhere in between, I've never gotten into a situation where I would be sharing panties with any of my friends, but I don't see it as unhygienic if I'm getting someone elses fresh out of the laundry and if they return mine washed and dried as well.

if its with a family member then I don't see it being too much of a problem but with friends is a big NO
excruciating circumstances only with family members aswell

I don't know about hygienic or not, I mean, I assume the will be laundered before the next wearer anyway. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing somebody else's underwear. :P

Family members and my closest friends are an ok for me. Anyone else I would definitely be hesitant because who knows what's going on down there....

My older sister and I are just over a year apart, we are the same size in panties, so sometimes they get mixed up or we swap pairs depending on what the other wants to wear. However I think it is all personal preference but I would not share them with anyone other than my sisters. I would rather go without wearing them then use ones from a complete stranger.

My friend wanted to swap panties in school one day. I don't even own any panties so I couldn't help her.

I didn't have any underwear clean so I had to borrow my brother's briefs once. And I was a 14 year old girl. He was 11. They weren't the most comfortable, but they were clean. I would never do that again, though. Luckily I could change the next morning before school, once my mom finished the laundry.

On a personal level I would definitely try to avoid doing this, even if there are no health risks it just feels kinda "icky" to me. I guess if it was a real necessity I could if they'd been washed and I knew the person well, but it'd still have to be something pretty urgent.

It's not really "gross" to me, but there's obviously health risks if that person happens to have an STD they're unaware of. Assuming that wasn't a risk, if they've been washed, I don't see why it would be a big deal.

I guess I'd still be skeeved out and would try to avoid sharing panties at all costs, just because it skeeves me out. But, if I was sure the panties were clean and I really had no other option I guess I could.

As long as they are fresh out of the laundry it would be okay with me. Though I don't really see a situation where I need to borrow a panty...

personally i don't think id be able to without finding the idea of it at least a little uncomfortable. realistically im sure recently washed panties don't carry any hygienic risks though

Me and my two 5 year old and 8 year old sisters wear the same size and they sometimes get mixed up, but i let the meep the underwear and go buy more
