View Full Version : Connection between people?

I'm the singer in my band, and the drummer sings with me at times.

And for our concert we did sort of a impro, with harmonies and everything and it turned out to be amazing and I actually sorta felt something while singing with him. It was really emotional. And for some reason I just know that he felt something as well…
And I don't know what it was. If it was linked to music or whatever. But it was great, and I like him so much now, but it's a genuine feeling and I think… reciprocated as well, because I even have a recording of the concert and I just saw the way he looked at me and smiled at the end.
I'm not looking into dating anyone but I'm just wondering what it is. Does anyone know if music got that connection going, or if it's attraction that was already there and eventually "revealed itself" after a while. I'm so curious to know :yeah:

And our voices just sound SO good together. Mystery...

Not really a mystery, this happens in jam sessions or performances. You have the adrenaline and everything just becomes 'in sync'. It's the stage every professional band aims to get to, the rehearsals mean you learn each others habits and styles, allowing you to anticipate them. Hence it sounded good.

The most recent example I saw is a Youtube clip of John Legend with the Roots - I can't right left handed. Not everyone's beverage of choice, but you see the way they smile at each other whilst playing. It's a really hard to describe feeling of 'we're doing something incredible together and we're loving it'.

I would calm the hormones down and not base an attraction on what is in psychology called a 'fundamental attribution error'. Try to get to know his personality and set this aside as an epic experience. Maybe it will lead to romance in the long-run, but you seem to be wanting to rush. Give it time :3

N.B. Any links to your band?

Two possibilities:
Either your mind is exaggerating because you have a crush
or
You were in the "Speed Force" of music, and you felt music at its purest

Sounds strange, but that's the best way I can describe it.

I think I felt both ...
