He's always been condescending to me. He called me a bastard & I said look whose talking your parents never even got married & he said yours didn't either & he said shut the fuck up. That's how poisonous it is. After all the insulting is done it hurts.

How does this work out. Is there any way to make things better? Does it get better as we get older?

Yeah dude that's not that bad for an argument:) Me and my sister used to say a lot worse when we were little. It should get better! Try to be patient with him and not retaliate.

How bad could it get?

He said I'm queer for our sister! How could that be? She's a girl?

He sounds insecure and jealous, try to take the moral high ground in arguments. If he is trying to hurt you and you just shake your head sadly and ask why he is so unhappy with himself, it stops him bieng condescending. Unfortunately it's something he'll need to grow up out of, like you with your attitude to casual sex and relationships. Sometimes the teen years bring out the worst in people. Just distance yourself until he learns, you've got your sis for company anyway.

Is your brother older or younger than you? When he gives you a bad time you should just walk away with no reaction or not saying anything back. He is most likely just trying to yank your chain and get you going to amuse himself. What do your parents say?

I think Clara's right. He's 3 yrs older and he's always treated me like shit. I used to look up to him and try to please him but I quit that long ago. 'rents say ignore him, let him make a fool of himself if he wants to.

My mom says that's probably why I paired off with my little sister and we became so close, though that's changed lately.
