Do you count anal as losing virginity? I was talking to some people and they don't think so :/

The act of losing your virginity is typically associated with vaginal intercourse, however that seems to only apply to heterosexual people.

People define virginity as many different things, but the debate is usually between whether oral sex is losing your virginity or not. But I think most people here would agree that any sort of penetration is losing your virginity, including anal sex.

I saw it as losing my anal virginity, and if I had still been a vaginal virgin, I wouldn't have considered anal as losing my virginity. I think virginity is a relative term, and I know 2 girls who are "preserving their virginity " through anal, they call it the poophole loophole

I've always considered penetration to be losing your virginity, so I'd say yeah. But I guess everyone has a different view of what virginity is.

I think for a boy having a penis in your anus means you are not a virgin

Penetration=losing virginity

Oral virgin
Vaginal virgin
Anal virgin
In the end, your still loosing it lol!!

This is hilarious ... the poophole loophole.

Hate to tell ya, but really, once someone inserts a dick into the "poophole", virginity, IMHO, is a thing of the past.

I think if you are a heterosexual girl you have virginities. For example I have lost my anal virginity and separately I also lost my vaginal virginity.

If you're with a woman, then I think it's just vaginal. But with a man, it counts as losing your virginity.

I think of it as categories. I lost my oral virginty before vaginal and before anal.

I agree totally. If you have never had anal on the giving or receiving end then you are a virgin therefore, when you do it, you are technically, losing your virginity.

I agree FuTo as you said, if anal doesn't count as losing your virginity, that means we're virgins for life! It would make no sense not to count it.

Lesbians... hmm. I'd say finger-banging or oral.

I think that the traditional meaning of virgin only applies to females. As for males, if you engage in any kinds of sex play (masturbation, oral, anal sex, etc.) it's called just having sex. In this day and ago I think the term "virgin" is almost meaningless. When was the last time anyone ever heard of a girl being examined for her hymen. As for a guy, who really cares if he is a virgin or not.

In my personal opinion, someone's virginity is lost the moment they engage in any sexual activities including oral.

People barely remember their first or even second times as they get older so it doesn't really matter.

In the classical sense losing "her" virginity means breaking the hymen.

Usually when my girlfriend and I are finished with anal, I have her fart out my semen back into my face.

That's some... interesting imagery going on here.

Yea, I consider it as losing your virginity

Well, that honestly depends on who you're talking to. There are people out there who are purists when it comes to sex; they believe the sex is only done between a guy and a girl and that same gender sex isn't an official classification of that. The more liberal-minded people would say that any kind of sexual acts, ill regard of the gender, is sex.

With that said, I'm with the majority of society who believes that anal sex is a cause for losing one's virginity. Of course, some people are coming up with different types of virginity loss these days. With respect to the orifices, there's anal, vaginal, and oral virginity. Those are the people who are probably trying to widen the definition of penetration sex by saying that a person can lose their virginity at least twice.

How that makes sense, I don't know. I mean, you can only have your first sexual experience once.

It's in the eye of the beholder, but no, I don't consider it losing virginity.

I agree with this. In general though, losing your virginity for girls usually refers to vaginal virginity.

Really I'm ok with people having their own definitions, some might consider either vaginal or anal to be there to be one first time, some might consider them separate, etc. That being said, I do think it is a little silly when someone only does anal because they claim to be saving their 'real' virginity for their spouse/someone special.

I kinda think so, af least for gay couples, by i dont know about straight, I mean if he didn't put his penis in her vagina it would still kinda seem like they were virgins.

I had vaginal sex my first time so I guess my virginity was gone anyway. I was scared as hell the first time I had anal with my boyfriend, but it really wasn't that bad at all.
