Hi.
So I am in a gifted program (basically AP) in 8th grade because I am what people call a 'gifted' kid. I have good grades for an AP course (4 As and 2 Bs) but have a passion for basketball, and practically live so I can play it. With all this work I don't feel as if I have time to do other things, and I have dreams of playing college ball and maybe even professional. Now I love all of my teachers, but I feel like if I went into Honors instead for my 9th grade year I would be a lot happier at school and not be stressed. The problem is bringing this up to my parents, who really want me to stay in this program. How do I bring this up to them? And convince them Honors is better for me? 🙏🏼😃
Thank you sooo much,
Steve
