Hi i am new to this forum.

I am in 8th grade and And I TA ( Teacher's Assistant, its a class choice I can take) for a 7th grade PE class. Anyways, this 7th grade girl and I became I guess you could say friends and we would talk and you know she is athletic (we both are) and I would like congratulate her and stuff like that and hugged ger once when she came in first after a sprint. Anyways she ended up asking me out on a date. I don't mind dating her as far as her personality and body are ( she has a nice body) and she is really nice. But I told her I would have to think it over because I just don't know about dating a 7th grader. I mean our grades at school are kind of separate and I would like to kerp it a secret. But I don't know if I should risk it because if you date someone a grade younger that you at our school and people find out, your life gets turned to hell.

So she's like 13, and your like 14?
And that's an issue why??????
If you like her in that way, then follow your attraction to her and go have fun on a date, see where it goes

Any reputation damage that occurs doesn't even matter even 4 years down the road.

Those older than me at school who've been in your situation, had their stigma erased by the time both parties hit Senior year. Time heals this stigma for sure, so just go for it.

Awwww young love lmao. Trust me that little of an age difference won't matter soon. In your younger years it may be alot because elementary school seperates the both of you but when you're older youll date people ranging from 1-10 years maybe even more. Love is love and age really doesn't matter.

Dude that's like a 1, maybe 2 year difference, that's not bad at all, only downside is you would be in two different grades and not see each other throughout the day, and next year when you're in high school, but other than that it's totally ok. You can't always date someone who is the same age

What they said above, just a grade/1 year difference is nothing. Go enjoy yourselves :)

I see 0 problem with that. Last year in year 11 I dated a year 10 girl, didn't go so well but it happened. I even considered dating a year 9 girl this year in year 12. The only concern is maturity, but generally girls mature before males do. Go for it, don't look back, and whatever happens, Que Sera Sera. Good luck!

If your life gets turned to hell cuz you date a girl a year younger you go to an even worse HS than I do. You need to get outta there!

if you have feelings for this girl then you should go for it and not be concerned with what anyone else thinks or says. Its your life and who you choose to date is no ones business but your own.

1 year difference isn't bad. It's bad when it gets past 2 years.

I know what you mean about dating someone a grade under you in middle school. It seems like yall are separated by an ocean or something lol trust me that all changes in high school and no one cares what grade anyone's boyfriend or girlfriend is in.

Anyway. I'm with all the folks up there saying go for it cause there really isn't a problem but...don't date her if you're gunna keep her a secret. That's like really douchey. If you can't handle taking a little shit from your friends for dating a little girl then you obvi can't handle a relationship yet. You'll probably get made fun of but so what? You'll npbe happy and probably getting more action than anyone else in your grade lol
