Maybe. A lot of friends from my school send x's to each other and they're boys. They just do it because they're close and good friends. He might like you back or he might just be flattered that you like him. If you are going to make the first move don't be too creepy try and be as subtle as possible and try to get it out of him that he likes you back before you go any further relationship-wise.

If he sends you kisses at the end of his texts then he's gay, no doubt about it. Unless he is messing around, you know him better than we do. My friend jokes around about it a lot. Then I came out to him and now he makes sure to tell me he's 100% straight on occasion. Which is probably a good idea since I have the hots for him.
