Have your parents ever set rules that you can't start doing something in till you hit certain milestones?
Like I watched a YouTube video where the girl said her mom has a rule that the girls can't start shaving their legs until they get their menstrual cycle And the one sister got her period at 12 years old and the other sister didn't get her period until almost 16
Or for girls you can start wearing a bra until you have pubic hair or you hit a certain age?
For me my parents have a rule that I can't start dating until I have pubic hair. I really don't care because I'm not really trying to have a girlfriend right now. Even though I do have pubic hair now

I'm sorry but I don't understand the reasoning behind not starting to date before having pubic hair. What does pubic hair have to do with being mature enough to date? I would ask your parents about that one ...

You could say the same thing about starting your menstrual cycle. To be honest my mom hasn't really seen my dick since I was 11 so for all she knows I had pubic hair when I was 12 or 13

I think parents mean by not dating or doing things
til u get ur pubic hair is in a round about way to get
around that they do not want u to get involved with
adult stuff til u start maturing. They may mean well
but they only antagonize a teen into doing something
that they don't want u to do.
My Dad the doctor told me not to wear a condom til
I can fit into one-now what kind of stupid sh*t is that?
He should know me better-but just wanted to c what I
was gonna say-I said sh*t but hes cool.

No, I have never had rules like that.
I can see the thinking, though, of tying activity to actual maturity rather than a specific age. I am not sure all the examples are that well thought-out, though. With the bra one,, for example, it would make more sense to say "You're not having bra until you can fill it", i.e. there is no point in putting a flat piece of cloth where a bra would be.

That's weird. Having to go say, hey mom, I got hair around the dick. Talk about awkward.

:)Yeah I watched a YouTube video where the girl said that her mom had a rule that they could not shave their legs until they got their menstrual cycle. The girl doing the video I think said that she got her. When she was 12 but her older sister didn't start your. Until she was 16.
Personally if I was the older sister I would have just started shaving from day one and not tell anyone.

Luckily they haven't. Although when I was 8 they told me I was allowed to kiss a girl when I was 12 years old. It happened then but that had nothing to do with the limit my parents set

My adopt parent never inform of such rule. I shave leg and pubic area and never ask permission or told not to. Go on date not a question yet but I believe they let me if I ask. Such rule not make sense for me.

Sometimes they tell me I'm too young to do something, but no rules like that
